  1. I will try this! Does this work with midi files as well as audio?
  2. I found out what happened but don't know how to fix it,...My session is at 67 bpm. The session player opened my mp3 bounce in a session that's set to the default 120 bpm. Without putting the click on, he recorded a midi piano track to the mp3 as if it were like analog tape. So in essence he played at 67 bpm in a 120 bpm grid. What can I do do remedy this?
  3. Hi! I sent an mp3 mixdown to a friend that was locked at 67 bpm in Logic, for him to play piano on. He emailed me the track. I've tried to import it, and drag it in the session, but I can't get it to sync to the tempo. Even when nudged, it doesn't line up with the bars. I am desperate to find out how do I get it to sit in tempo and sync with mu session. I'm using internal piano sampler, so no external devices are used; just the imported midi file. Any advice is appreciated! /JP
  4. Hey! I have the latest version of Logic on a brand new macbook pro with a bluetooth mouse. I'm tryig to set up that the ricght click on the mouse opens up the toolbox instead of esc, but in the page where you set key commands, it doesn't seem to accept my mouse for a key command. Any help is appreciated.
  5. Hey! Just bought a new macbook pro 15 (i7) with 4 gb ram, and a 500gb 7200 rpm drive. I'm just about to load it with my studio software (Logic Studio , Guitar Pro, Melodyne) and I was wondering if anyone knows if there would be any problems if I also installed Skype? May seem like a dumb question, but I don't know if Skype would always be sucking ram or soundcard issues, latency issues, etc... Any pro advice, not just random opinions will be greatly appreciated.
  6. It is a reverse reverb. I've done this effect countless times in the past. Too much actually... : )
  7. Hey! I haven;t up to speed with upgrading in a while. I have an original version of Logic Pro 7.2.3 (I know...) with a working dongle, etc... and I just installed 10.5 on an external disk, made it bootable, and copied all of my files, folders and apps over without a hitch, or so I thought. When launching Logic, it hangs on "loading the core audio" forever and never starts. Am I doing something wrong or does Logic 7 even work on OSX.5? Thanks for any advice! PowerMac G5 PPC dual 2.0 ghz 4 gb ram
  8. Do I have any options besides wiping my drives clean to install this OS?
  9. Hey! I have a Powermac G5 Dual 2gz ppc running Logic's 7.2.3 pro on OS 10.4.11. I think it My system drive is in raid to be one faster drive, and I have 5 gb of ram I have the installation dvd for Leopard but when I boot from the dvd and try to install 10.5 it there is a bright yellow triangle on a sign saying, "The installer cannot prepare the volume for installation." I've restarted, many times, verified disk, repaired disk permissions,etc... Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
  10. I appreciate all the responses. If I daisy chain my drives, will there be more latency,or slower? Also,a 5400 rpm drive can handle a session like that? How many tracks are running at once?
  11. Great! Thanks! I just thought of another thing... How could I successfuly hook up my studio o a macbook pro. I would need a mouse to occupy one usb slot, another for a midi controller and I have two firewire external drives. (one for steaming samples, one for audio). Where and how would I install the external usb or firewire sound card to?
  12. Thanks, but I'm still wondering if it will overheat from the very long hours in the studio.
  13. Hey! I have a Mac G5 Dual ghz power pc and I'm thinking of selling it and getting a new macbook pro. I usually run over 90 audio track mixes with the audio streaming from a seperate firewire 800 hard drive, but I also run alot of plugins and audio instrument tracks, and a 12 hour day is not uncommon. My question is; Can one use the laptop to replace the "tower" Mac G5 to run pro sessions without overheating and/or killing the computer? Thanks!
  14. Thanks for your reply. I checked it out and the samples I was looking for on that site and those specific ones were not up to par.
  15. Hey! Does Anyone have samples of cymbal swells/rolls with mallets? I need them for a ballad I'm producing. I have EZ Drummer Nashville kit, which rocks imo, but no mallets to create cymbal swells and rolls. It is not te same when using sticks and drawing velocity curves... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
