  1. it lasso's all the automation nodes an then you can drag down all of them at once...or, at least it does on my system
  2. It is possible to adjust volume on ALL tracks. make automation visible on all tracks, start to finish. Hold 'option' key and lasso the entire automation (it will scroll downward if you can't see all of your trks on the screen. Then adjust automation
  3. ok, thanks. Would you have any idea why it suddenly doesn't work for undo. I've tried it on multiple sessions, new sessions, tried a different keyboard, but no success.
  4. Hi, all of a sudden my undo (command Z) doesn't work. I've spent an hour troubleshooting and can't figure it out. It is greyed out and won't let me reassign. any suggestions? Running 10.3.2 on El Capitan Thank you
  5. Hello, I'm getting ready to replace my older 2008 Mac Pro and I would love some advice. I'm looking at a 2012 Refurbished Westmere. I was planning on getting 6 or 12 core with either 3.46 gb or 3.06. 64gb ram or more... My question is......Does Logic take full advantage of the difference in cores....and the difference in processor speed (3.46 vs 3.06) Also, Is there anything I should know before getting this model? Is there a better way to go... for the money? Thanks to all who might respond. Scott
  6. probably 4k or so. I've looked at 2012 12 core with 64gb ram for around 2k. Then if I converted all of the sata slots to ssd for 700-800. Just don't know if that's the best path?
  7. Hello, I haven't been on this forum for a long time. Partly because my setup has been purring along like a kitten. I'm preparing to upgrade everything and wanted to get some advice on which direction to go. I currently am using the following: 2008 Mac Pro 32gb ram 8 bay Burly drive enclosure with 1TB 7200 satas in each bay streaming lots of VIs (Hollywood str/Play Libraries/Omnisphere/trilogy/Opus/Ivory/etc.....) FF800 interface I generally have 50-60 tracks with mostly VIs and lots of waves plugs. This has worked perfectly for me. but am getting a little paranoid with a 10 yr old computer and I know I can get more speed. I'm interested in duplicating it using the latest-greatest fastest thing and wondered what others were using. Any suggestions?
  8. This should be simple but it's stumping me. I'm trying to insert an external Distressor Comp via i/o plug on a channel strip. Setting the i/o plug to...out 3 and....in 3 going out of analog 3 to input of Distressor....and then out of distressor back into input 3 on FF800. I don't have signal getting to or from the distressor. Please help......What step am I missing????
  9. I can't figure this one out. I evidently hit some combination of keystrokes and now when I press 'Play' either on the transport bar or on my keyboard...It goes backward one frame at a time. It's only on this one session, other sessions are OK. Has anyone experienced this??
  10. All of my plug-ins are now running 64bit. I was wondering. Is there a way to delete or quit using the 32bit bridge? Does it tax system resources or just leave it running?
  11. Well if you must know. I'm scoring music cues for a movie and I have 5-10 different ideas and options on different sessions per cue all together there in the folder. Because of my 50 yr old eyesight I sometimes miss and click the one above or below. The 'root of the problem' would probably be lasik or improved contacts. : ) seriously!
  12. Thanks guys, I've always wondered if force quit had any repercussions.
  13. Often I open the wrong session and have to wait 5 min for it to load until I can quit it and load the correct session ; ) Is there a way to cancel a load in progress
