  1. Yes, the title of the book hasn't changed but it comes with the 10.2 updates. It does not, however, cover Alchemy. Hi! Does this apply both for the physical edition and the ibook? Amazon claims the book was last updated in June 17th 2015, and 10.2 was released late August?
  2. I´m having a similar problem. Is there any preferences for the export function that I´m overlooking? I want to sample some of my old non MIDI keyboards for use in a Nord Stage 2 live and in EXS24 for studio use, and also export some of the exsisting EXS 24 sampler instrument to the Nord , but the "Export Sampler Instrument and Sample Files" (in the Edit section of EXS 24) doesn´t seem to help me. The Nord Sample Editor only reads WAV files up to 44.1kHz, so I need some choices while exporting as well (as most samples seem to be AIFF, and my own is 48kHz). The filenames should include the note (Instrument C#4.WAV) make the process automatic. I also own Snapper (doesn´t seem to want to read the AIFFs for converting to 44.1kHz) and Samplit 2 (strange flow, makes xxx 1_1_1.wav file names which makes a lot of manual work, and also running into other problems I haven´t solved yet). I have a iMac 27" (5K, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, OSX 10.10.5, Logic Pro X 10.2.0), Universal Apollo 8 Quad (Thunderbolt, latest software), Nord Stage 2 (MIDI via USB, latest software and firmware), and some oldies goldies instruments without MIDI.
  3. 15 gigs doesn't sound like much. Remember a HD needs at least 20 per cent free space to work correctly. Also be VERY careful with all these utility programs that remove files. Logic files are spread across the whole hard drive and you don't know what every file does, so I'd rather you clean up your own projects from within before you touch anything on Logic or OSX itself with other programs. If that Mac Duplicates Remover or whatever it's called deletes an audio file just because it has the same name as another one and it's used in a project, you gonna be screwed big time!! I´m mainly looking for the duplicate folders, containing pictures, movies or audio (full projects or sample folders). I´m trying to have everything on my NAS, and remove it from my MacBook and external HDDs, and also cleaning up duplicates (or other old things I don´t use anymore, my MacBook is from 2008..), but have problems getting a good overview of the loads of files and folders, including the iCloud making copies on places I don´t want it to.. This might be a little off topic, but it´s one of the main reasons why I have problems getting more free space on my internal HDD. The Logic projects are one of the things I have full overview over.
  4. Ok, thanks. That´ll help me a lot to save resources when having loads of tracks muted. It might not be the most intuitive way for the workflow.., specially if some regions already are muted in the muted tracks.., but no big problem. I have around 15GB free space at the moment. I just bought the Drive Genius 3 (in a MacUpgrade bundle) which I hoped would help me to get more free space, but I haven´t understood the included programs fully yet, like the duplicate remover..
  5. Hi, I have the same error message about the sudden monitor sensor or hard disk problems popping up from time to time. I think it is specially when I start playback, even if I now have only one track in solo. I have 15 tracks muted, will the containing audio files still be read from disk, if I don´t mute the regions? Does this make a difference if the tracks are hidden or not? All tracks are routed out on the same bus, and then to the stereo out. On this current project, the only plugins is a Channel EQ + Compressor on the bus, and find it strange that I should have any trouble at all playing back this project. I didn´t have have problems while running some 30-40 track projects with a lot of plugins yesterday.. I start and stop the "one track at a time"-project all the time, as I use it for transcribing some interviews.. Using MacBook (early 2008), 4GB RAM, OSX 10.7.3, Logic 9.1.7, RME FireFace 800 (latest firmware and driver), and the internal HDD at the moment.
  6. Thanks for your quick reply, which solved my problem! The project went from 11GB to 2GB including some comping tracks.
  7. Hi! I´ve found a few threads touching the topic, but I cannot seem to sort our my problem. I have a project where I orginally did a lot of takes (in 2009, I guess I used Logic Pro 8), and now I want to get rid of all the files I´m not using. To keep the orginal project untouched, I´ve Saved as... to a new folder. Logic 9.1.6 In my Audio Bin, apparently only my used files and/or regions show up, while Browser (or Finder) show that a lot more files is placed there. Choosing Select Unused and Delete doesn´t seem to do anything with this. http://i42.tinypic.com/263jvhh.png http://i43.tinypic.com/f4pguu.png
  8. Hi! How do I save templates, without including the audio files and audio track info (take numbers)? I'm in a middle of a recording of 9 songs (using 13 tracks), and I continuously do changes in the settings (monitoring levels++) while recording the different songs and takes, which I want to save in a template.
