  1. I've been working on an epic 10 minute prog rock song with a string arrangement that I've poured hours into writing automation for volume and expression swells. Then somehow I inadvertently activated mute automation. I've been trying to inactivate it. No luck. Tried writing automation to cancel the mute. No luck. Is there a way to disable the mute automation in the track header area? How do I get rid of the mute automation? A lot riding on fixing this. Appreciate any help. Thank you in advance.
  2. Jakob, your advice worked well. We were able to record with the Drum designer Kit and then drop the track onto the producer kit during mixing process. Thank you for the help!
  3. We are working on a song recorded at 70 bpm with a click track, bass, electric guitar, electric piano, mellotron and synch pad. The song was then sent via email to our drummer in North Carolina. He recorded drums onto a Producer Kit with Roland TD11-KV V-drum kit. Everything was synched during recording, but on playback the drums are slightly delayed compared to rest of song. Recorded in low latency mode. I've tried troubleshooting over phone without success. I feel it's likely a simple solution I'm missing. Any ideas?
  4. Interestingly, though the tempo does not adjust in the main track window, when I double-click on the track it opens the Smart Tempo Editor window, and in that window the new tempo IS displayed, including the minor tempo variations. How do I get those tempo changes to register in the main window and the tempo track???
  5. Hello again, I'm taking a song previously recorded without a metronome (not synched to grid). Now I'd like to synch audio to grid without altering the audio, instead altering the tempo of the grid. From what I've read, Adapt mode in Smart Tempo should do this, and I've seen Youtube videos where some drops a file onto project with Adapt Mode activated and the grid aligns, with the tempo track reflecting the tempo changes. When I drag the audio file (I wanted to drag drum part first, to use it to set the tempo) into a new song in Adapt Mode the grid does not align. I've tried different Smart Tempo Project Settings. I've tried dragging from the region from the original project into new song, and I've tried converting to audio file and then dragging that into the song...no luck. What would cause Adapt Mode to not adjust grid to file? Any ideas would help. Thanks again to this knowledgable group.
  6. I ended up using this method. Worked well. Thanks David.
  7. Scenario: Song created in Logic with tempo set at 90 bpm. Drummer recorded midi drum track listening to project and recording on separate computer, but with project set at 120 bpm. Now when I receive midi tracks and import into the main project (still at 90 bpm) drum track slows down and doesn't line up. The takes sound great and I'd like to use them but need to solve the tempo mismatch issue. What is best solution to get drums to line up with project recorded at 90 bpm. (I'm guessing this involves Smart Tempo, but haven't got it to work yet). Thanks for any help.
  8. I have a friend who moved to the midwest. I've recorded her vocals previously and we'd like to continue to collaborate. She has a PC and runs Windows 10. Looking for an easy to use program for her to record vocals and then transfer them over the internet so I can import them into Logic. Thanks.
  9. Thank you, David. Part of my continuing search for a more natural, intuitive way to write vibrato and pitch bend (and other forms of expression/modulation) into step-edit written software instrument parts.
  10. Anyone out there using the Neova MIDI Ring by Enhancia? It looks like a natural way to add modulation (like vibrato and pitch bend) to software instruments. I'm curious to hear from folks who have used it to find out if it is reliable. https://www.enhancia-music.com/neova/ Thanks! James
  11. WoW!!!!! It appears to be working!!! I had gone to the set-up list many times but X-touch was never on the list. But when I chose Mack Control Device I was then able to choose X-Touch Compact. Thank you so much Des 99 for your help! So nice to be have faders and pots to ride again.
  12. Thanks again for reply. I'd like to try to add control surface manually. Not sure how to do that and Behringer does not provide instruction on that procedure, as far as I know. Any resources for this?
