Hey guys, How would you go about doing the sort of down lifter out of a sample similar in this remix of Fancy. at 1:45 I use Logic X, and i know in Ableton you can automate the end point of a samper loop, but my understanding is you can't do this in Logic Any ideas?

Hey, Im recording my Access Virus TI into logic through my fireface UCX. Everything is fine, except when it records through audio input it never seems to sit perfectly on beat of where the midi is, now i got this a lot closer using the "recording delay" but doesn't matter how fine i make the adjustment it will never sit dead on? Is there a way to get it so it records identical to the timing of the midi? (See attached pic)

Hey guys getting crazy amount of system overloading, with a rather small project. Should the audio overload meter be half full when the track isn't playing? Cos thats what i appear to be getting? I uploaded some pics so you can see what I'm dealing with

Cool done the first part, its the Access Virus TI so has inbuilt keyboard. Yeah will eventually have audio channel but at the moment virus sound is just doping audio out of virus into sound card then out speakers

Anybody, Im ripping my hair out.

Hey Guys, Really simple request, yet been pulling my hair out. All i want to achieve is to be able to Use my Virus TI externally with Logic X, and been able to route MIDI in and out (to me what this means is i can record midi into logic, and hear what I'm playing, then after quantising, loop recorded midi pattern in DAW, and tweak the sound on my Virus externally). For the life of me i can figure it out. My flow diagram is as follows Virus TI without USB plugged in (in sequencer mode). MIDI Out Cable is going into the MIDI In cable on the breakout cable of my Fireface UCX, and MIDI In Cable going into Midi Out Part of Fireface Break out cable. In Total Mix (Fireface Software) Midi Input port is set to Fireface UCX Port 1, and Midi Out port set to Fireface UCX Port 2. See attached Picture 1. Then when i open logic and select "External Midi" Instrument, i can play my keyboard and hear sound as well as see midi is coming into logic via the green bar in the arrange window, as well as the transport bar up the top. (Im also getting the "note symbol" on the Virus screen which means midi is being transferred. I can then record in Midi pattern, swell as hear the virus patch being played. When i try and play this midi pattern back, the green bar lights up showing midi is being played, and the note symbol on the virus screen once again appears showing midi is being received. Yet no sound is being made. What the hell am i doing wrong? Please help

Hey guys, trying to get my Virus TI Working with logic, i have the midi input set up, so when i play notes on a "External instrument" software track, i can record the notes on the piano roll, as well as seeing the midi input in the transport bar. YET when i record the notes on the external instrument track, i cant get the playback from the synth, if that makes sense, logic shows its playing the midi information, just no sound playback from the synth itself, only if i physically play the synth?? Please help

What am i doing wrong? Trying to record out of a guiutar amp into Duet, then into logic. Logic is picking up the signal as shown in the pick yet i am not hearing anything out of the speakers of whats coming out of the amp? Probably something simple thats starring me in the face? My Project, on logic X, the audio is stopping and starting during attempted playback! It now and then pops up, with an error trying to synchronise Midi display. Usually (in logic 9 days), switching the sample rate to 48, then back to 44.1 fixes this, but this doesn't seem the case. My I/O Buffer size is huge aswell, so i have no idea why this is occurring. Its not an overly big project, with about 40 tracks, and 30 of them be audio P.S 8 Gigs of Ram, with still 2 gigs unused in activity monitor.. Attached pics of logic error, and Preference page.

THATS IT!!!! BOOM My offline sampling was at X4 now its at X1, bounced and went across alot quicker. Thanks god thats fixed

Thourgh alot of Sleuthing I find the problem to be my reverb (2C Audio Aether). The difference between having one instance of Aether on, increases the bounce time, by about 10 mins. What reverb do you use? Try removing all Instances of it, and bounce... see if that helps
