  1. So the solution is to select the area with the Marquee tool, make sure the track is selected, then ⌘J or select Join to create the new audio region.
  2. Is there a way to create a new audio file that matches the cycle length? Below is a screen shot. I'm attempting to create a new audio region that is four bars long. The regions to be consolidated to not start or end on the bar. thank you!
  3. I just checked an apparently it will save with a template. Thank you again.
  4. Thanks David that did it. My brain doesn't hurt anymore looking at the timeline. I understand this is a project setting, but can this be stored in a template?
  5. How can I change the beginning of the time ruler from 1:00:00 to 0:00:00? Old and new sessions start at 1:00:00 which is visually confusing. 30 seconds looks like 1:00:30 and should read 0:00:30. I've looked to find an answer but haven't found it yet, so any help is appreciated. here's an example of what it looks like cheers, Jon
  6. So turning playback pre roll of in audio, actually messes with some midi regions playing back properly during the beginning of the cycle. It's rushing some midi notes near the beginning, then plays perfectly in time when the cycle loops around. Is this an issue then of changing the settings to fit what you are doing? It appears that fixing one thing is at the expense of another
  7. Thank you Eric, that did it. Thank you thank you!
  8. So the cycle processing was set to off. Should it be sent to 1/96 or another setting to get rid of the pre roll playback when in cycle mode?
  9. After setting cycle beginning and end points (and setting the cycle start point to start on the beginning of a measure), Logic starts playback slightly before the beginning of that first measure, then when looping the cycle goes to the exact beginning of the cycle point as it should. It's only the beginning that the transport is starting slightly before the set cycle beginning point. I've searched for an answer to this, but couldn't find one. Is there a slight pre-roll setting that is engaged or something? I've checked this on different sessions, and it does the same thing. thank you in advance Jon
  10. Feature request it is then.
  11. I often prefer the rectified waveform view. When viewing the waveforms as rectified, the positive and negative amplitudes are summed together to create a single positive value display. Editing automation is a bit more exact (at least for me) when using rectified waveforms. Snapper does this as well as PT. Just curious if it was possible in Logic Pro. Using it right now in Snapper as a matter of fact lol here's the full screenshot:
  12. Is it possible to display rectified waveforms in the arrange window?
  13. Setting up layers of sub mixes within a mix session is one of the ways I do it as well. For a completely different approach, experiment with hard panning the majority of your tracks (don't forget to use the direction mixer to correctly hard or slightly pan stereo tracks)
