  1. I requested they add an option to toggle between the alias functionality or just making normal regions. Who knows if anyone even reads it.
  2. Aah okay. I had searched there for “enable” and “disable” but not record off. Thanks.
  3. Is there any way we can request to have an option to go back to how it was? It made so much more sense with automatic alias generation. And you could always just convert aliases to real copies if you wanted to, but you can't do the opposite.
  4. If you record enable several MIDI tracks, they used to automatically un-enable when you select a different track that isn't record enabled. I know it sounds confusing but that was how it worked and it was fine as long as you didn't accidentally mis-click. Now if you record enable a bunch of different tracks, they stay that way permanently unless you go back and click the R button for every single one. Is there a shortcut or button that allows you to un-enable all tracks? I googled it and someone says to hold option but that does nothing.
  5. I just upgraded from 10.6 to 10.7 and now if I record with several MIDI tracks enabled, it creates duplicate regions for all of them, where as previously it would do the much more sensible thing which is create a region on whichever track is selected, and create aliases on the other tracks that are record enabled. I swear they break this functionality every single update and no one cares except me and it's so frustrating because I use it all the time. Did they hide this functionality behind a setting somewhere, or did they just break it?
  6. I wish that too, haha. Thanks for the reply though.
  7. That's... odd. Any idea how to route which channels they bounce to?
  8. I have indeed. No change. I also tried setting the desired outputs in OSX's "Audio Midi Setup" tool. Still the same result.
  9. So I'm doing music and SFX for a certain type of arcade machine that requires that the center "speaker" be channel 4, and the LFE be 3. However, no matter what settings I select in Logic's surround output, the center channel ALWAYS bounces out as channel 3. I've talked to a few other people who do the same work and they have the same issue... we always have to go and swap it in Sound forge afterwards. It's really annoying. Anyone know what if I'm missing something? Here's what my surround output settings are: But when I go to export, and then examine the file in Soundforge, it's always the same: 1. Left 2. right 3. Center 4. LFE 5. Left Surround 6. Right surround. And thus I have to swap 3 and 4. Thanks. Stephen
  10. I have an Audient iD22, and disconnecting it makes the issue go away. The question is whether that may just be because it forces Logic to switch outputs and reload all the samples and everything. I have not yet tried to work through the built-in output and have the static happen. The problem with this issue is that it happens seemingly randomly, and sporadically. And each time it happens I can only try one new troubleshooting fix cause the problem goes away and then I have to wait for it to happen again. Lately it's been happening about once or twice per day. Next time it happens I'll try disabling the core audio.
  11. Hello all, This issue started about a week ago. From time to time, my system audio will start to get increasingly "static" sounding. It starts off barely noticeable, then becomes overwhelming to the point that you can't hear anything else. When I quit Logic, everything goes back to normal. It has not yet happened without Logic being open. It also goes back to normal if I disconnect my audio interface (iD22), which forces Logic to "reboot" in a way... reloading all samples, switching to a different audio output. I made a video last time it happened. It shows the static slowly getting louder and louder while playing music, until finally quitting logic and everything is fine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxYVJaSQiRc&feature=youtu.be Here's another video showing what happens if I let it go for a good 10-15 minutes... gets to the point that it's just a thumping clicking noise. Again, quit logic and all goes back to normal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5psNxNxs0M&feature=youtu.be Any ideas are greatly appreciated. 12. This is a very specific problem. More of an annoyance. I have an iMac with two additional monitors. I like to work with the Arrange(Main) window on one screen, the Piano Roll editor on the second, and the Mixer on the third. The problem is that about 50% of the time when I switch to a different "space" in OS X, whatever's on my third monitor moves to that space, and doesn't move back when I switch back. So I have to go into "mission control" or whatever it's called and move it back to the right space. If I recall correctly this issue didn't start until I upgraded to Logic X. Along with about 87,000 other little bugs. I'll be very surprised if anyone else has experienced this. But if you have, and you know of a solution, please share. I have not yet updated to Yosemite as some of my plugins have said that they don't work in that OS yet. -Stephen Logic Pro X 10.0.7 Mac OSX 10.9.4 Early 2014 iMac 32 Gig RAM 3.5GHz core i7 Quad 500Gb SSD
  13. Kind of annoying, to me at least, but I guess they have plenty of other bugs to be working on so that one must be pretty low on their priority list.
  14. Does anyone else have to start dragging the note first and THEN hold down opt-shift? For some reason if I hold down opt shift before clicking, it doesn't work, though it did in Logic 9.
  15. I think I figured it out. I went to my old machine and found the pst files and copied them into their respective location on the new machine, where they were, for some reason, missing. (Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Logic/Plugin Settings/Space Designer) It works now. However, WHY there were only SOME of the default Space Designer pst files there and not the others, we may never know.
