For some reason - when I export the piano part as a midi file - when I open the midi file in FINALE - the piano part is only showing in the bass clef and there is no treble clef showing at all,..How can I correct this problem.

I didn't know about "Safe Mode" - Will try this now and then let you know what I discover! Thanks for the advise Atlas007!!

EZ Drummer 2.2.3 - Logic Pro X 10.5.1 I'm unable to get Logic Pro X (10.5.1/Mojave) to boot up. Is there anyway to get to the Plug-in Manager area without going through the regular bootup process? EZ Drummer seems to be working fine in DP11 and also Ableton Live as a AU Plug-in Seems like everything was fine until I did the updates through the Toontrack Program Manager. Is there anything that you can suggest to fix this problem?

I also had put in a new hard drive with everything transferred - and then upgraded to Mojave from High Sierra,...decisions decisions,... Leaning towards upgrading the machine possibly...still a very difficult time for me being that everything ran so smoothly on High Sierra with Logic Pro 10.4.8.....

Is it possible to downgrade from Logic Pro 10.5 to Logic Pro 10.4.8? I'm having audio performance issues on my 8-core Mac Pro Early 2009 (in Mojave) - after leaving a solid stable working environment in Logic Pro 10.4.8 in High Sierra. I want to know if there is a procedure or path to go back to what I had: High Sierra with Logic Pro 10.4.8. Any help in regards to dealing with my options would greatly be appreciated. Thanks! Question: Is there any way to not hear the previous measure when starting recording? I have a client that has requested not to hear the prior measure when recording begins: he just wants to hear the 4 silent clicks with no music attached - at the top of the recording. I have not been able to find if there is any setting for this; and I have looked everywhere. As a workaround - I've either muted regions in the previous measure - or solo the track I'm recording on - and then un-solo the track after the recording starts,, If anyone out there knows anyway to achieve this in the Preferences or Session set-up I would greatly appreciate this. It Worked!!! I was able to change all of the Midi Channels by doing Option #1 that you suggested,,, I'm doing all of the tracks now and then I will re-do the bounce

I'm importing the SMF file into a Keyboard sequencer (Triton TR) I've figured out the problem: On all 16 tracks,....it shows that all recorded notes are assigned to midi channel 1 (In the Event Note Area). Without having to manually change the midi channel - is there a quicker way to reset the midi channels on all recorded notes int the track - to match the selected midi channel that has been assigned to the track?

Problem: When I export all midi files as a midi file (SMF) all tracks - After checking out the complete SMF file bounce - All tracks are playing on Midi Chanel 1! This is after I have set all the individual tracks to their own individual midi channel 1-16. I also do not have the box checked in Preferences/General/Project handling - Export Midi files - saves midi regions as format 0 Is there anything missing in my steps; or is something already written in the mid file that I need to change... I also did Insert Instrument Midi setting as events - on each channel..and the export is still playing all midi information on Midi Channel 1/Track1. Any advise on this would greatly be appreciated. I'm bouncing 12 songs to disk. 3 out of the 12 songs I'm getting the same reoccurring problem: I get the spinning "ball of death" (the computer crashes) and I have to force quit out of Logic. The crashes happen in the exact same spot every time. If anyone has a fix for this or can tell me what the problem may be, I would totally be happy! All of the songs are no longer than 3 minutes long and I'm only using a few vocal tracks along with piano. The other 9 songs of similar track counts bounce fine: I'm just having a problem with the 3 songs. I would love to know how to fix this problem. Logiciland,...I need your help.

I'm trying to merge a variable/variety of number of notes into 1 beat in the step input midi mode. How do you do this. Step input only gives specific time values: I need to input like 13 or 17 or 22 notes - and I want them to fall evenly onto one beat. Does anyone know how to do this... Thanks in Advance... I'm having intermittent problems trying to complete simple session bounces while using Wave plug-ins (LinMB & L3 MultiMaximizer): I set my Start & end points for the bounce and what happens is: the bouncing goes on - well beyond the end points and after hitting the escape button - the bounce adds on a number of measures/time of silence, exceeding the original bounce time. Why does this happen or occur. If anyone knows, I would be happy to resolve this (hit & miss) reoccurring problem regarding bounces with Wave plug-ins on the Stereo Out insert.... This problem does not happen all of the time: but it does happen at least 50 - 65% of the time; which is really really frustrating to me! This problem also happens when "Offline" is selected; but also happens when "Realtime" is selected. Does having "Add Effect Tail" box checked have anything to do with this problem? ...Or having File Type: Interleaved - have anything to do with this problem. If anyone out there in Logicland can help me with this long age old problem, I would greatly be appreciative. Thanks in Advance, Lincoln
