  1. Hi Kouly, Thanks so much for your reply. I have had mixed responses, and yours wins me over a bit for investing in a raptor. I'll check out the backpane issue - thank you for the warning. We almost have the same hardware specs, so if you say it improved processing power for things like Logic, I am willing to put down the cash. Thanks again. Best, Tobias
  2. Hello everyone, I am in the process of upgrading my mac with RAM and a new system drive. Is there any benefit in paying extra for a superfast drive, like the Raptor? Other than overall snappiness I wanted to know whether it gets more performance out of Logic and audio applications in general. Your insight is greatly appreciated. Tobias
  3. Hi Jamie, You can actually copy and paste automation, by shift-click-dragging a selection box around the nodes you wish to copy. To copy them on the same track, just click and drag them with the option-modifier to the desired spot. To copy them to another track, hit apple-c, select the target track and set the desired timeline position with the playhead, then hit apple-v. Alternatively, you could create an empty MIDI region over the nodes to be copied and just copy that region to wherever you want the automation to go. For this to work, you have to set your preference to either automatically copy all automation data with the object or at least have logic ask you whether you want to do so. Hope this helped. Tobias
  4. Yes, count my vote in on that - I have been longing for an integrated DirMixer into the cannel strip for quite a while now. The Vienna Ensemble does a great job at implenenting that. Best, Tobias
