MS using Drum Designer - DD is seeing all 16 midi channels and i only wish it to see ch10 hope the title says most of it ... i just downloaded MS so i am new .. please be gentle !!! Drum Designer any Kit .. my setup 1) roland octapad - transmitting on Ch10 ONLY 2) irigkeys37pro keyboard - transmitting on Ch1 ONLY and MS reflects my MIDI Input 3) now what my is issue is, Roland plays ONLY DD - Great, but Keyboard is playing DD as well - from Ch 1 ... need this to change so i can use both at the same time .. i play keys and drums / not to mention i would like to have a bass and guitar setup at the same time as well .. but that could be too much to ask for ... so right now Drums and Keys ... Please let me know if i did not give enough info !!!! thank you john and OT - is there a way to make VM (i use Roland Octapad-this makes my HiHat work perfectly), can i make VM the Default for DD Kits like Roots, etc ????

HI, i have the same setup .. just got the Octapad SPD-30 .. i use mine iwht USB midi .. but i have this happen from time to time .. i am sure it is Operator Error on my end .. to check: and sorry if some questions seem rudimentary ... just rying to get a good picture .. 1) are you taking the Audio OUT of the SPD into any input at all ?? analog mixer, interface, etc 2) if so, do these OTHER sounds go away if you tunr the MASTER VOL on SPD ??? 3) if NOT using Audio out of SPD, are you Transmitting out of PD on Global Midi Chaneel or are you Customizing your Midi Setup in Menu/System/Midi .. When using Global, i sometimes need to set mine to ch 9 so as to NOT trigger some sounds in Logic somewhere (or maybe GM sounds - sounding out !! 4) can you isolate a little better WHERE these sounds are coming from - INTERNAL (in Logic, GM, etc) or EXTERNAL (SPD or other Midi Device in your Setup cheers john ADD: are you using Drum Designer in Logic ... and have the Input Mapping set to V Drums ???

i do not use the Freeze feature but i do record to another track. mixing on a CD right now. can try the freeze feature later. i went back to the 2.01 version from my Ivory Disk. i will try downloading the 2.05 installer to see if they have another version (your b71) .

weird. I did the same thing. standing by for Synthogy to get back to me. here are the version in my Download package for Ivory 64bit. i will ask synthogy about this. cheers

hi all, I have lost the ability to offline bounce. no crash log, logic just disappears. this just started happening yesterday. good times i got a crash log this time. IVORY 2.05 b73 the new 32/64bit version sent it to Synthology i read the post about Discord. i use it but in 32bit. cheers john

i even went so far today to see if i could transfer all my Logic plugin settings into pro tools format. i know, i know, i am truly sorry for even bringing that up. i had a moment of weakness today that astronaut he played died from a heart attack from all the Space stress / there was a very early version of Logic loaded on the Apollo 13 Nav computer so they could write some spacey music out there (where do you think MoonGlow and MoonDance came from) LOL ok, i will not jump from the pier, i will just wade in over my head

thank you so mcuh for the offer to continue this. really I need to get back to work and I do have the workaround for now (older version of session). I will now be even more careful - i will be moving so slow it will look like I am standing still. i will come back to this issue when finished / hopefully not before

just for kicks i opened a blank session / created a midi track / made some beautiful noises / then Wrote some manual automation / dragged the Start thing back as far as i could / then dragged it right back to bar 1 / over and over / it works fine / back in the nasty session it is not working i also tried to make it happen in the bad session and this new blank sucker / even though you can drag the cycle left locator farther to the left than bar 1 it does not affect the start of the session . hey david, thank you for chiming in that session is behind me now. Really just do not want this to happen again. so I am just trying to understand How it could happen. you have to try and do this, it is not a thing that the Cycle / Loop seems to be able to do cheers and yes, not the Boot / more like the Hood than the Boot LOL

i say screw al this BS i need to get back to work since i went back to an older version I am fine. I would really like to know how this crap happens. very frustrating. this is added to a long list of frustrating things about logic. oh well is right thank you again for wasting your time too !!! cheers and stay cool if you are i the valley it is hot down by the beach as well
