  1. I would personally like to see a purple to blue to green to yellow to orange to red gradiation in the meters rather than the default brown/orange color. Does anybody know if this would be hard to do? Just curious.
  2. Sorry Dave, Nobody was answering me in the Soundtrack Forum. I don't know if people are looking in there, or if nobody knows, but this is kind of big deal for me. It seems that SP2 cannot export individual mp3s. It seems to only let a user export mp3s of master mixes as it calls it. Do you are or anybody else here know if this is true?
  3. I have to agree/disagree with you More Records. I agree that the ability to sequence sequences is a great feature, but I still feel that the calling card of Live is elastic audio. The simplicity and intuitiveness is unsurpassed, in my opinion. The sound quality could be a little better, especially in complex mode, but the concept is just so juicy. The grid subdivision thing I mention because I feel that Logic is so very bad at this; very un-musical and limited in scope. I work a lot with midi and I love the options in Live between the finite grid and the clip envelopes. I can really come up with interesting things quickly. Of course, as I mentioned before, everybody is different, and what is important to one person may not be important to another. All is relative in art and DAWs. Cheers
  4. This is one of the reasons I'm always hesitant of posting complaints or feature requests, etc... Everyone works differently, and my limited knowledge of the program and different peoples workflows, etc... will naturally limit my opinion. But this is also why I enjoy forums like this, simply because I learn so much more from other users than anywhere else usually. Cheers
  5. You know... I keep on thinking of really cool things that Live can do that Logic 8 cannot... or at least, not as easily and intuitively... I think I'm just going to use Live a whole lot more. At least the re-wiring in Logic 8 is vastly improved. This makes me much more accepting of Logics shortcomings. Still, it would be nice to see Logic become what it could be. Here's to the future, I guess.
  6. I would like to see Logic become more like Ableton Live. I would like to see: Elastic Audio Better grid subdivisions Intuituve zoom functions These are the main points from live that really make it stand out for me. Chuuch!
  7. . Thank you for your optimistic outlook Caped Crusader. Much appreciated.
  8. When one combines software patents, plus the possible complexity of implementing seemingly simple features, the timeframes to create updated feature sets can range drastically, I gather. That said, I'm going to push ahead like a stubborn mule, seeing as I've got some ideas for future features that I'd like to post and get feedback on. I'll get to that soon. Thanks everybody for your feedback. P.S. - "Future Features" is my intellectual property.
  9. Hey Dave, I'm trying to comprehend why some new features that seemed like no brainers to me were not added to Logic 8. The first possibility is that I could be living in my own little world with the opinion that some wierd feature in my mind would actually be important, or... I'm a genius who has not been recognized for his greatness, or... Features, lets say, from other DAWs are copyrited and cannot be used by another DAW... or VI for that matter, etc... Just curious if this is maybe the case?
  10. The Arturia stuff! That would rock! Mini Moog, CS-80 etc... Thanks again, this is great!
  11. Sorry to ask so much of you but I have NI Komplete 2 and would love to have icons for all the rest of the instruments, Absynth, FM7, etc... Also the Novation V-station would rock as well. I'll try to think of more to keep you busy!! Cheers
