I ran into an issue after installing Monterey "security update" (12.2). I can't get Logic (10.7.2) to launch. It hangs on AU plugin scan . I treid clearing plugin cache and removing all components from folder. Anyone else having this issue? I'm using M1 Macbook Pro 13"

Logic Remote for iPad is cool, but maybe even better along with Push 2. Ableton released technical specifications for developers who want to make Push 2 work with anything else. https://github.com/Ableton/push-interface So there is theoretical potential to make it very functional as it is in Ableton, especially now that Logic has Live loops which resembles Ableton's session view. There was a guy who started this experimentation, but but has not been maintaining it. Perhaps if he can maintain sufficient patronage, hell be happy to work full time on it. I understand. My dilemma however is that I have drum kits in the form of minute-long mp3 files. The only transient splitter I have is AudioSplitter for mac and it only splits mp3s. I love that it creates many audio file from one. Hope fully I can find a wav Splitter like it.

I realized that I could save a LOT of space by converting my .wav drum samples (currently 40gb) to mp3. Will there be any noticeable loss of sound quality that may affect the overall quality and how well the mix with instruments

Haven't you heard? Logic 9 is being released on the 24th Where did you get this information?
