  1. Go to store menu and click reload page. That did it....thank you!
  2. Same here...on Mojave and LPX 10.4.4. I've restarted a few times but still waiting.
  3. Thanks for the assist. What I am looking for is how others set up their Project before doing the recording. Such as... When laying out your tracks, do you start with drums, piano, bass, melody or other?...just to start out.
  4. It's 2019...and I just bough David's 10.4 training manual so my aim is to work through it 1st QTR 2019. A more specific question I have is the methodology for MIDI/Score entry. I've looked for videos, books, etc that focus more on the process vs the how-to. I'm not a loops guy, I prefer to write my own melodies, harmonies, etc. Drum tracks too although a good beat track is forgivable. So, when you have that song (let's say instrumental orchestral piece...or pop music song) in your head and need to get it out of there into LPX what's the best step-by-step for the process? I have LPX 10.4, Yamaha MIDI keyboard, USB Microphone, and MacBook Air 2017.
  5. It's been a few years since I've dug into Logic. Now I'm dusting off and getting back in at LPX 10.4.1. This is going to sound like a newbie question as I'm hoping for an easy answer. I like how all the built-in instruments (Jam Packs, etc) are displayed and searchable in the Library. Simple search by 'Piano' shows me ALL the different pianos. I've added Garritan and Kontakt 5 to the mix and those sounds have to be added via the Inspector pane>AU Instruments>Garritan>Aria>Stereo before I ever get to pick the instruments. This is frustrating when I have to click multiple times in order to hear a few different sounds to pick the one I want. So... My questions are: 1. Is there a way to view all the instruments (Logic/Garritan/Kontakt, etc) in the same Library View instead of having separate places to find them? 2. Are there sounds available to install into Logic Pro that will appear in the Library view, thus able to be searched instead of a different viewer/player? Thanks for you help in advance. More questions will be coming! -Glenn Dallas, TX
  6. Looks like Amazon is giving us a clue on 10.4 Book by David N....7/1? https://www.amazon.com/Logic-Pro-10-4-Professional-Production/dp/0135244765/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1523735685&sr=1-3&keywords=Logic+Pro+X+10.4
  7. Just wanted to update this..it loos like LPX 10.04 corrected this!
  8. Yes, the Kindle Version has your electronic key number on the last page and the link to the downloadable content on the PeachPit site. It's about 1GB sized.
  9. I ordered the Kindle version so I can enjoy some time off digging into all things LPX. Hopefully, I can take David's Dallas class in February.
  10. The update to Logic Pro X 10.0.1 fixed the bouncing crash. File completes...but fails halfway in the uploading process.
  11. David, where's the link to the Apple Pro Training Series: Logic Pro X edition? 8)
  12. LPX is snappier for me in all the main areas. Startup of the app itself is incredibly faster. Opening songs with alot of tracks is quicker than LP9. Really can't find an area that is slower or draggy. Kudos to Apple!
  13. I think Apple should follow their policy on store returns. There is a 14 day return policy that occurs IF this customer invokes it. That happened to me back in 2008 when I bought my first MBP and the Apple Store was amazing at taking my MBP back on Day 13 and replacing it with the super-sized new version that came out. However, at Day 15, I would have been outside the parameter. Unfortunately, any parameter won't be enough because someone will be one more day outside of it. At that point, it's up to Apple...
  14. Jay, After I installed LPX (clean install after removing all of LP9), I downloaded all of the additional content which I left as an overnight project. Your post prompted me to go check out DRUMMER and all the presets play just fine. No additional downloaded needed....at this point. Hope this helps too.
  15. Trying to share songs to SongCloud..I'm able to get logged into to my SongCloud account. LPX coverts and bounces but once finished bouncing, it crashes LPX completely. I've restarted the app and the Mac itself. Still crashes. Anyone else experiencing this? Any helps?
