I want to totally dump Logic 9. I never really used it and so I want to start from scratch. I don't even know where to begin! I have "App Zapper" but it doesn't find all the hidden stuff and sound libraries. Any help? Also, I notice that Logic X is less than a gig download so I assume you get the opportunity to download all the sound libraries? Thanks so much in advance for any help! REALLY looking forward to getting back into music and recording! Dave

Bot was she ever! She even emailed me wwith my "shopping cart" showing the STudio package for $499 ready to go and asked if I was ready to place the order. I emailed back and told her how wrong she was with her information. She actually emailed right back and apologized and said "Wow! Thank you for telling me this. I am new here and didn't know what I was talking about. Now if you asked me about Aperture then I could have told you everything because I'm a photographer LOL!" Seriously? Holy moly.

Oh, and one other thing she said was that I could NOT use any content from LP8. She said that nothing from LP8 (loops, content) was compatible with LP9. Terrible.

WOW! Thanks so much for the help you all! Yeah, that was pretty bad for her to lie like that. She even put me on hold TWICE to "confirm" that I had to pay $300 extra if I wanted anything extra. This was even after I told her that I did NOT want Main Stage, Studio Pro, etc and that I just wanted the instruments, etc. Glad I came here first! Thanks again!

I'm lost. I bought a new iMac last July and I am JUST getting around to installing/upgrading all my audio software. BTW, I am a registered owner of Logic Studio Pro 8. So, I see on Apples website that I can get LP9 for $199. GREAT! So I call Apple and see about an upgrade price (figured there wasn't one anymore since I could not find it) and also asked about getting a physical boxed version. I was confused (still am) about how you go about downloading a GIANT software package like LP9. The woman at Apple tells me that the App store version is ONLY LP9 and nothing else. She said if I want the extra instruments ( guitar/bass amps, drum machine,synths, etc) and audio loops that I had to buy the "Studio" package for $499. So, which is it? I do NOT want "Main Stage" or "QT Pro" or "Studio Pro". I just want LP9 and the instruments, loops. Thanks for any help. Looking at the App store makes it look like for $199 I would get everything except the stuff I don't want ( "Main Stage" or "QT Pro" or "Studio Pro" )

Thanks but I tried that already and it says "You cannot install Pro Application Support on this Volume. There was an error while evaluating Javascript for the package."

When I try and run Logic Pro 8 it says"This version of Logic Pro requires Pro Application Support 4.0(687.0) or newer" and i've tried reinstalling the Javascript but it still says I have an older version. Any ideas? Also, I bought the boxed version of LP 7 and then downloaded the 8 upgrade but now I can't find it. I'm lost... TIA!

I don't want to get in trouble because I know a lot of forums don't allow posting stuff for sale and I didn't see a forum here for it so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? Its a computer. Thanks for any help and if this is not appropriate then please remove and I apologize in advance.

What about a program like "AppZapper"? It seems to grab every file/folder associated with the program you're "zapping" and allows you to look over all the content before hitting the KABOOM! button. Maybe it isn't as thorough? Just wanted to throw that out there. I have used AZ many times and it seems to do a great job but David's post would definitely be the better route to make sure.

I bought an EBOW off of EBAY. Not really... I just wanted to say that : ) I'm glad I saw this thread because I had thought about getting an Ebow before but have long forgot to check them out so now I'm back to thinking about it. Always fun adding new gear to my ever growing collection!
