Thank you guys. Both posts are helpful. The plugin eq linked by shiver is the closest thing I might need. Being able to hover of the spectrum and see the exact frequency is what I'm after. Actually I'd like to be able to hit a note and know the exact frequency in a hz read out. Say I'm in a 12T5 ( 12 true fifths)tuning and after certain frequencies and the over tones.just one example. Kinda more for frequency training rather than just knowing the notes. An A note is an A note at many different frequencies.You can learn A all day long and know the fret board upside down. Why not know the exact frequencies also? Thank you for your help. " What is the frequency Kennith" lol

Ha ha. It only does notes. At a very general 440HZ( Concert pitch /A) or what ever you may like.

Hello all, Is there anything that would analyze frequencies played in Logic Pro X? If not any recommendations for one? Looking to see actual frequency numbers. not just a spectrum. Thank you.

I gave my old iMac to my Wife and got the new improved one with the SS drive yada yada yada.... Anyways, logic and all the music associated with it is taking a lot of space on that old computer. ( I say old but it's only 3 years old) Is there some kind of way to un install logic and all the files associated with it? It's Logic 9 I think that has been upgraded all the way from 6 or 7.. There is a lof of music. Probably 300 projects. I've of course relocated it all to my new iMac ( I got like 6 months ago) So Is there an easy way to get rid of it all?

Well after about 2-3 hours with it last night I don't like it yet. The drummer that loaded in songwriter was bad ass though and I was jammin with him right away. It's very different for sure.

I dislike ultra beat, don't know what flex pitch is and yes I like the colors. What do you mean exist on the same computer. They are different programs? I will have logic 9 and logic x at the same time? Will the projects work back and forth also?

S Do I get logic X? I have 9 and just use it for personal recording but I don't want to be left in the dust. Looks like this is the start of a very new logic. The price is no problem, just don't want to waste 200 is I don't have to. Also will there be an upgrade avail from 9 to X? or will it be 199 for everyone, and if so why do I remember spending 500 to get logic way back when, and now they can just get X for 199? Thanks.

Hello all, I get my projects all set up and I seem to use the same setup most of the times and it takes 2-3 min to set the project up with what I want. How can I copy it so it opens to that. How do I make it a template? Thnaks.

The original dvd is not supported anymore. UGH!

Upon opening Logic it searches for these 3 instruments that I really never use. Background: I migrated my old iMAc to my new imac ( 3.1 ghz 1 tb fusion drive etc etc) So everything went fine but now it says. cant find "exs instrument seventies kit.exs and subby bass and liverpool bass. I never use these and if I could just get rid of them that'd be fine. So anyone know the fix to this.

My strange experience. I added the quartet about 5 days ago and I haven't quit logic since. Yesterday turned off the imac. All of a sudden I have a 2-3 min lag opening logic. The only difference was the addition of the quartet. I ran a cleaner and tried a number of things. It was annoying. Came here, as this is the best place to find solutions to anything logic. I saw an update, I did the update and everything is back to normal. Strange but I'm not complaining.

Ok guys sorry for the hasty post. Haven't looked around in a while. Found that an update was available 9.1.8 , so guess what. Updated and opening is back to normal. So glad this place is here when I need it. Bailed me out several times.

Logic 9. Imac 2.66 8 gig ram. When opening Logic now it loads each track separate on the desktop before showing the project. so it takes like 2-3 min to open a project that just yesterday would open in seconds. I ran a cleaner but still have the issue. Edit: I just recently added the apogee quartet to the system, could that have caused this slowness? Any ideas?
