  1. OK, cheers will have a look in the key commands. That would be a nice start...
  2. Nice feature requests, the search would be very handy as well... Feedback sent to Apple...
  3. Hi there, I have quite an amount of tracks in my orchestral template. So I was wondering if there is a similar shortcut as in Cubase to show only tracks that contain regions, hiding tracks without any regions... This would be a great workflow improvement. Best Cris
  4. Hey guys! I have a similar problem. FIrst of all, I configured the 828 like you described. All the outputs are routed to Analog 1-2 like in the image. I connected several external synths to the anaolg inputs. So I also routed Bus 1 to Analog 1-2. I now have the problem that the sound is waaay too loud. I have to reduce Logics main-out to -50 dB and the volume slider in iTunes is at 4%... When all is routed to the main it is OK, but then I can't hear my external stuff and have to route the main out of Logic to 9-10. Question is: Is there a main / master volume for this output too? Like for the main outs. Or do I have to spend another 400 € to buy a Mackie Big Knob? Thanks for your help and inspiration! Moreno
  5. Hey there! I have a small problem. I want to have the low latency mode for plug-ins switched on permanently. When I save the arrangement as Autoload template with the low latency mode switched on, quit Logic and reload it, the low latency mode is off again when the autoload song is loaded. Is there a special trick to switch it on constantly? Thanks for the help Moreno
  6. Thanks for the recommendations.... So you unchecked the "Put the hard disk(s) to sleep when possible" box? This one is unchecked. I also contacted Maxtor a while ago, but they couldn't help me. Guess I'll have to use those Maxtors as backupstorage drives in the future... Do you know more drive manufacturers that build audio-compatible drives? LaCie maybe? Edit: Found this one that seems to work quite well: http://g-technology.com/products/g-drive.cfm
  7. Hey Logicians! I have a Maxtor OneTouch 4 plus external firewire harddrive attached to my Macbook Pro. When I edit stuff in Logic so that the audiofiles on this drive needn't be played back, the drive falls asleep after some minutes. When I hit the play button in Logic it takes quite an amount of time until the playback starts because of the drive starting up. I checked everything in the energy safer setup with no luck. I contacted the support, but they couldn't solve the problem as well. Do you have any tips or is it just my Maxtor disc that's not capable of "staying alive" for a longer amount of time? Any recommendations for another harddisc? esp. for Macbooks... Cheers Moreno
  8. Hey there! I have exactly the same problem. I switched to Logic 8 and Leopard recently. Now I want to load an orchestral arrangement, that was no problem in Logic 7 and Tiger. I get the same error message: memory is getting low and the pizza of death does its ugly job!!! Logic crashes.... I have 4 Gig in a G5 2x1,8 GHz Mac! but as I said before I didn't have to worry about the memory size. It was enough for the pieces I composed and the instruments I used. Cheers, Moreno!
  9. Yeah, that's what I did yesterday. It's just a thing you have to get used to....But it's quite a struggle if you're in a spotting session and don't get the work done. Poor director ;p !!! Thanx guys!
  10. That might be the problem, because a friend of mine uses 7.1 and is able to get negative values....
  11. I have a similar problem... I just can't get the Movie Start (Below the position and SMPTE Bars in the Movie Float Window) to negative values, although a friend of mine is able to do so! Is there a trick or a preference, that allows me to drag the Movie Start to "-" values? Your solution with the Sync settings works fine, but changing the Movie Start would be much smarter for me Thanx, Chris...
  12. And in the end, we're all happy! There are always several solutions, how to solve the same problem. My workflow is definitely more fluent now. or fluid ? wtf. Augustiner rulezzzz! and Logic of course... Wish ya a good night. Chris... (Andreas, you're here???)
  13. MagicMoon!!!!! You definitely won the race! Although my origins lie in programming the SID Chip of a Commodore C64, I nowadays prefer working with the benefits of a mouse and shortcuts Thanx, I guess this is an innovative approach. Couldn't be simpler... Nice Forum and Community here! Hau rein MagischerMond ... Prost, Chris!
  14. Wow .... Shoot to thrill! That was quick....Will try it tomorrow. It's getting late over here Have a good day David and a good night to you, Vacheto... cheers, Chris!
  15. Hey David! Guess you misunderstood me there. I work on ONE Track....I just want to copy the automation Data, say from Cutoff to Resonance on ONE Track. And that doesn't work. When I copy the cutoff data and select the automation for resonance, then paste it, the automation view automatically jumps back to the cutoff, from where i copied the data....As I said: I work on ONE track. Copying from one to another track is no problem at all Hope that descibes the problem more correctly. Yours, Chris... PS.: But nevertheless, a nice tip ... Command clicking the fader
