  1. all good, just wasn't sure of what you meant. i have an M2 air with 16gb ram and 1TB storage. one port on the air goes to my dell monitor, the other to it's hub. and, much to my amazement, everything works: 2 external drives, an audio interface, and another hub (with a music keyboard & a pedal).
  2. not sure what you mean; am earning my living on the air... what else matters?
  3. the magsafe port is a godsend; at home, i have a lot plugged into my air (thru a hub in my dell monitor, etc), plus the monitor itself. and personally, i much-prefer the non-wedge shape (but that's just me). either way, this mac is a beast...
  4. i moved from an m2 pro mini to an m2 air (so i could travel with my work). and it's been a revelation. am producing an EP for a band; we recorded in a house in upstate ny; the engineer recorded everything on his (same!) m2 air. logic crashed twice, but otherwise... everything worked beautifully. now i am starting to mix on my air, and it's handled everything i've thrown at it (a lot of fabfilter and (demanding!) izotope plugins. plus, running an external monitor with logic's main window and the mixer on the air's screen. am seriously impressed. i've owned a lot of macs, and this air is now my favorite (and the m3 air should do even better). good times!
  5. running 14.4.1 and all is well (so far). BUT... not an ilok user anymore, so can't report on that issue. hopefully someone else will update soon & let us know how it goes...
  6. it just seems, as with everything else, that it's usually what you first learn on. true, for macs vs pcs, logic vs whatever. etc. sometimes we make the move to a different DAW (or platform), but always easiest with what we've come up with. i've worked in pro tools, checked out cubase, dabbled in Live. logic is... home for me, and am not moving anywhere..
  7. got it, of course. but in the meantime, if it's worth it, you have a workaround...
  8. you could, if need be, bounce the whole stack to audio, and have just one audiofile to deal with. but yes, not ideal...
  9. not at my mac (to listen) but you could, for example, create 4 tracks of the ES2, and put one note from (for example!) each four-note chord on each track... then keep the ES2 in mono but have the whole chord sound (you could put these tracks under a track stack, and then control it as one part...).
  10. i'd go with @AXXENTS suggestion... but only if you'll be mastering the song later. best to do a song fade in the mastering, where you will then maintain all the volume, eq, etc settings from the mastering thru the fade.
  11. it's going to happen sometimes; a bug that doesn't really show up until an OS, or logic, or app update is out in the wild. the important thing then (and now) is for the responsible parties (in this case, apple and pace) to sort it out ASAP...
  12. what's happening on the mini? (i had the same one; great machine, but just sold it). and is there any difference between that and your mpb? (ie OS, logic version...)
  13. am not pissed... at all. not everyone is experiencing those issues (outside, of course, of the ilok issue). am working as usual. everything is running well on my macbook air (most importantly, logic). & overall, besides being seriously impressed with how this air is handling what i throw at it, am having a stellar OS experience, as good as it's ever been...
  14. it's an absolute rule-of-thumb to never have more than one project open at a time in logic; better to import content from the older project (in the File>Import>Logic Projects option) into the newer project. there are countless stories of project corruption when more than one is open at the same time...
  15. i just tilt my head +2 to the right, and all is well...
