you've seen it, tried it? does it run well? is it stable? how does it sound? are there bug fixes? do some of the new features matter, ie is there better pitch correction? does smart tempo work well? i don't understand why anyone makes a judgement before they've tried something. anyway, as far as i can see, garageband is currently garageband pro for garageband users... and logic pro is logic... pro... 👍

got it. yeah, i will not use the sessions players, chord track, etc. def interested in stemsplitter, smart tempo. want to see how AI works with pitch correction, etc. anyway, will be fun to explore. and because i am mid-project, i will, for the first time ever... keep the current logic as well. 🤯

i find that interesting. a plugin management app is more interesting or valuable to you than new features, enhancements (for, you know, making music) and hopefully bug fixes (and/or lol, new bugs). just a guess, but am willing to bet that LP 11 is built over LP 10, and all (or most) 3rd-party plugins will be fine. still, of course, we'll see.. anywaym may 13, am going in.......

last year, my friend gregg discussed his setup, asked if i thought he should "update my OS, or not" and i said 'absolutely'. i meant to not update, and he thought i mean he should update. fortunately, all is well... 🤣

think you have that backwards? ie no issues without eastwest means it prob is the issue, same with kontakt... 🤔

what mac? and what version logic, what OS? try setting logic's audio preferences to 'system settings' for the output. or quit logic before you change audio interfaces, then re-open it. just some ideas to start with.

i use my (lowly) M2 air while traveling, without this issue. if this isn't working as it should.... call apple, get it resolved. EDIT: alternately... perhaps some 3rd-party plugin is causing the issue, and reloading slowly. anyway, using 'system setting' in logic pref works here.

48K is 48000 samples per second. what 'digital sawing' are you hearing at 48k??

it's why i'm replacing my monitors-&-subwoofer setup; i keep making mixes with very-deep bass and no one hears the lowest notes. i've been travelling with iloud micros, and... love these things (just for what they are). listening to other artists music, i hear everything. and am making my own mixes so that i hear everything there as well. & where i regularly mix, am moving to new pro monitors and NO sub, with the clear idea that, if my mixes sound good there, they'll sound good everywhere. if i truly need to go deeper-bass... i have great headphones to check for that. everyone i know has a bluetooth speaker (sometimes really good ones tho), or listens on their tv soundbars, or headphones, earbuds, in the car... anyway, very few have high-end sound systems at home. so it goes. my goal is to blow everyone away, no matter where they listen.
