  1. Thanks for the help! Yes I definitely don’t know what I’m doing with Logic and don’t even know what settings are on that might be causing the problem. I’ll plug a guitar or outputs from a digital piano or Roland drum kit into the interface and just hit the record button. Sometimes I run one of the Logic amp setups but I am not even competent enough to customize those and just use default ones. I’ll start playing and everything works for a while, but then at seemingly random intervals there will suddenly be a delay between what I’m playing and what I hear. When I first got Logic it worked fine but it’s definitely possible that in my incompetence I clicked something at some point that threw things off. I had just been assuming that it was a question of the interface or cpu getting out of date, but if it’s just getting settings right that would be great! Unless I never figure it out that is.. Any ideas of where to start??
  2. For the last year or so I’ve had intermittent latency problems more frequently than before, which contributed to me not bothering recording much anymore. Thinking of getting back into it, and wondering what would be more likely to help… upgrading the interface (using AudioKontrol 2) or the Mac (MBP 2017, 3.1 GHz quad i7, 16 ram, SSD)? Or giving into the fact that I barely even know how to use Logic and switching to GarageBand? Any advice would be appreciated!
  3. Hello, I've been using Logic for years but don't exactly know what I'm doing and use it sporadically. Latency had not been much of a problem for a few years, but in the last few months when I started using it again it seems to develop in a pattern that I can't figure out. Sometimes I can record for 20-30 minutes with no problem, and sometimes it only takes 15 seconds, but then suddenly latency kicks in with good 3/4 second delay. All the settings I've found to try adjusting don't seem to do any good. Sometimes I can get it to go away (temporarily as usual) by closing the project and reopening, while other times it takes a computer reboot. Wondering if that means it's just time for a new Macbook? Or a new interface? Any other suggestions? Any hints would be tremendously appreciated! Thanks, Rick (Macbook pro 15 in 2017, 3.1 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3, SSD. OS and software up to date. Connected by a Native Instruments Audio Kontrol 1.)
