  1. After some attempts I was able to get rid of the name appearing twice but it doesn't work when using this project as a template: New Project Save project as aaa (name appears 2x) Rename Alternative Name to bbb (File > Project Alternatives > Edit Alternatives...) Save and close Open Rename Project to bbb (File > Project Management > Rename) Save Press Rename alternatives > delete alternative name (no name) > press Rename > Done (in File > Project Alternatives > Edit Alternatives...) Save and close Open a again, the doubling disappeared. It works even now even after saving as a new project. Unfortunately it doesn't work when using this project as template (New from template) . It opens as Untitled.logicx - Untitled again.
  2. It seems the trick no longer works with Logic 10.8.1, Sonoma 14.2.1. I can't get rid of the project name appearing twice. I did it with File > Project Alternatives > Edit Alternatives... > Rename > Done. The duplication disappears, but as soon as I save the project (or save as or save a copy as), the name appears twice again, which is quite confusing and annoying.
  3. The link address of the article "When Logic Destroys Your Audio Files" has changed to https://www.davidpace.de/when-logic-destroys-your-audio-files/
  4. @Blink I was using soundflower successfully to route a 32-track-multichannel file with double-speed (x2) from quicktime into logic. I wasn't able to create the same double-speed effect in logic, tried all kinds of flex modes... And thanks to Jakob, I can use the ascending input option with soundflower (as a virtual audio driver), too.
  5. Wow, with unchecking "Show Icons in New Tracks Dialog", I am able to get the ascending inputs option again. Big Thanks
  6. Thanks Eric, unfortunataly no. I have always the advances tools and options enabled. I just disabled them, restarted logic, enabled them again restarted logic but no changes... So my question, is it only me, who can't access the "ascending inputs" feature? If so, I may delete my preferences later.
  7. I can't find the option to create audio tracks with ascending inputs anymore. I'm working with 10.5.1, and I am pretty sure that this option existed in the past. Some hints?
  8. Isn't there a command in the terminal to retrieve the parameters?
  9. This is very useful, and very likely there are more parameters and commands available. How do I/we get an overview of which parameters can be changed with which command for com.apple.logic10 in the terminal?
  10. Yes, i create a "manual" MIDI track, this is way more convinient than to mess around with the routing of the internal metronome (at least for me...). The sound and the result are the same.
  11. For advanced use, I create a new software instrument track with Klopfgeist. Then I can program, automate, cut ... the metronome like any other midi region.
  12. It seem's you copied the data to an empty slot
  13. By "VI" you mean virtual instrument? Get use to the export function, which let you kind of "bounce" each (selected) track of your project in one go. If you like to start from zero, ok. When preparing files for mixing (to another person), I export the files in a way, the session sounds exactly like mine after importing my files, no matter which DAW will be used for mixing. That means, I use the Gain Plugin instead of volume automation, I create tracks of each aux channel ... . From here the next production step can be done. This is much faster than starting from zero, but there is no right and wrong. I don't care about a "strong signal on the bounced track" in the digital world, I rather care about efficiency. (see above)
  14. I think, the plugin inserts on the different channels should have the same slot number.
  15. I had a similar issue last week. A Logic project (with way too many tracks packed in too many folders) suddenly started to create waveform overviews each time the project was opened. I ignored it for some days, and eventually the horror message "One or more audio files changed in length" appeared. Next time logic creates overviews on each start-up, I definitely clean up the project and copy the files, because something bad could happen. I was lucky in the end, I didn't find the corrupted files. I don't know what caused the issue. It was a messy project where at least 4 people worked on 4 systems and 4 hard drives. My drives are properly formatted, and I don't use cloud sync, but the others?
