  1. Ahh never mind! It appears there were some dodgy internal routings in the Lynx software that was causing Logic's I/O Plugin to send to itself. After a "reset to defaults" in the Lynx mixer everything is working as it should. Admins, feel free to delete this post if necessary. Cheers. -A
  2. Hi all. Strange thing going on here. When routing audio via the outputs on an audio channel or instrument channel Logic will send to the correct physical output of my Lynx card. However, when I insert an I/O plugin on the same channel (or any channel), the plugin will not send audio to the outputs via the Output select option in the plugin. So for example if I choose to send to output 9 and 10 via the I/O Plugin it will send there. Then if I choose 11 and 12 it will simply not send it. I have to go to any channel strip and and select output 11 and 12 and then the plugin will suddenly send there. It is totally random which channels stop working via the plugin but it seems the furthest away from the working ones. Anyone else having this behavior? Thanks for your time. -A
  3. Thanks to all who contributed to this thread. I am going through the whole shebang at the moment trying to figure out the best way to process various channels with new outboard gear. This thread has been very helpful.
  4. SOLVED!! The culprit was Ilya Efimov Les Paul Guitar Kontakt instrument. And to be honest, I knew that it causes this problem so I stopped using it for years. It sounds great but when the session gets to a certain size it just completely spikes every processor and you cannot press play even from a part of the session where nothing is playing. I notified them about it a while ago but they deny any issue. So there you go. After bouncing in place my Performance Meters were reading just below 50% and the session worked flawlessly till the end. Thanks for looking and replying though. Much appreciated!
  5. Hi, it happens on this specific one at the moment. I have to open a new blank session then reopen this session then it works fine for about 20 minutes then suddenly it happens again and I have to repeat.
  6. I don't know why this happens. I suspect it's a specific combination of plugins. Even while stopped the Performance Meter pegs all threads and I cannot even press play. Even if I remove everything from the session it still does this and there is nothing I can do but quit Logic and restart. It then goes to normal behavior for a while until I try and play by double clicking in the timeline. That seems to send it off again. Been happening for years but this is the first time it's happened in 10.5.1. Buffer is at 1024 already. Anyone else having this issue? Fixes?
  7. Anyone else lose the midi input selection for external controller assignments every time they update Logic? I have most of my key commands also set to respond to inputs from Lemur but every time I update Logic it breaks the midi input connection from the iPad. Right below where it says Midi Input Message the Input option is greyed out. I now have to manually go to each controller assignment and reassign the input to iPad....no way to select them all and assign them all to the same input. Anyone else notice this or have a way to select all Controller Assignments at the same time? Thanks! -A

Thanks for the replies. Yeah I just trimmed the video file to the length of the cue plus handles and it seems better. For now.

Was fixed for a while now happening again. Anyone found out anything new? Thanks -A
  10. Hmmm. Yeah that does sound like a bug. One last thing that might help is to install the free Midi Monitor app that shows and can trace any midi messages flying around your system. Might be worth a shot? Good luck!
  11. Can you see incoming midi in the midi monitor? What happens if you disconnect your midi controllers?
  12. This is a new feature since 10.4. You can turn it off in a menu somewhere, probably in the View menu in the Menu bar(not in front of Logic). Maybe it got back to ON with the update... Blink Unfortunately the only option seems to be broken. There is an option in the Mix menu called Auto Select Automation Paramater in Read Mode. It doesn’t change the behavior. So either it’s a bug or I don’t understand what it does. But either way my workflow has been seriously affected.
  13. Ok so this one is killing me.... In the Main Window I have automation visible and set to Volume. When I edit in Piano Roll the atuomation automatically switches to what I am editing in Piano Roll. WHY!?!? Can't ind a way to turn it off. Anyone? Please!!??
