I am sorry if this question has been asked before, I could not find any thing with the search. I am wondering, is anyone with a new Mac Pro (2013) running Logic? If so, how has your experience been? I am considering one and would love to hear about anything that stands out. Thanks in advance. K

Logic has Flex audio though I have Melodyne and use it for just this sort of thing. Melodyne has very little in the way artifacts And the interface is very good. I highly recommend Melodyne if you can afford it.

I was one of the last hold outs also. I kept updating but I could tell that something was happening in the company. Something not good. It is sad when a truly good program loses support. I am hoping that Logic will not meet the same fate. I have a feeling in 30 years they will find me with my version 9 of Logic and the 2007 Mac Pro and will find me dead over my keyboard still holding on to my outdated but still working system.

In addition, I believe there is a Steinway piano in Garage Band Instruments. I am not sure if it is the same one you are talking about FK. It does sound fabulous! Just another of the gems inside of Logic.

I may be totally wrong here but I do not think there is any harmonic distortion in the software itself. Please someone correct me if I am wrong, isn't THD something that is produced by the amplifier?

If your interface is an AUDIO interface, then it is going to record audio and that is what kind of track you will get. If it is a MIDI interface and can connect to the violin via a midi port, then you will get the INST track and the piano roll. I hope that helps. K

Putting your files onto hard rice will probably not help speed things up. Cook that rice first!

You need to remember that there is no privacy on a PUBLIC FORUM! You agreed to certain things when you signed up. (You might want to read those End User License Agreements.) Anyway, I would not try to tell people what they need to do with their computers, it is just a lesson in futility. Though if you really want to delete your own posts, just create a website that you alone control. Then you can delete anything you want!

Just a note to say that after posting on another thread about this issue, I have decided that my problem with my keyboard and mouse disconnecting was caused by my third party blue tooth system. My Mac Pro did not come with blue tooth, so I had to by a third party setup. It was a D Link. K

I would like to hear from the wireless folks. I used to be wireless but kept having the computer loose contact with the keyboard. I had to turn the keyboard on and off to reconnect. This sometimes worked, sometimes not very quickly. I finally got tired of this and bought a wired keyboard. Anyone else run into this?

I just want to put my opinion out there. I purchased version 1.0 and found it to be really useless software. Buggy, and just plain over rated. I would save the money and buy a good rhyming dictionary. There are maybe 2 or 3 programs I have bought that actually made me mad. This is one of them. It just has very little to offer songwriters. There were so many limitations and now being a subscription, this is one piece of software that is just getting worse. They are delusional if they think they are offering any value. "Written by songwriters for songwriters??. I doubt they wrote anything except the bad code in this program. If like paying for a few gimmicky features, then this is the program for you. Just my opinion.
