  1. Thanks a lot. I have tried some different configurations and it's quite unintuitive. Some times it works, sometimes doesn't. The "User Patch" is not needed. As you said - the summing stack is a must and the midi region MUST be on the master, summing track - if it's inside , it does not work.
  2. I does not work or I don't know what you mean by "stack"? I have save a user patch, but still no sends. Could you post some screenshots? Thanks.
  3. No, I did not. So should I save it first, than add a region to the Apple Loops window, right?
  4. Hello, I have this problem. I created my own Apple loops, a midi sequence that plays samples from the Quick Sampler. I added two effects that are sent from two Buses. Loop has been added (dragged) to the catalog. When I play the preview, the loop plays correct including effects. Unfortunately, when I drag this loop to the project - I only have a midi region with Quick Sampler, but no Bus 1 and Bus 2, so no effects at all. Why?
  5. Hi, I have a problem with sample mapping. Quite a strange situation when I extend the mapping range, e.g. from C2 to C4 - the sample does not want to play in the new range. Every note above, C2 does not responding - silence. I have tried to reload the sample into the Zone, but it does not help. The Key Range is C1-C4. The other instruments can be modified without any problem. Any thoughts? Jurek
  6. Thanks, that's fine for me. Will contact you. J
  7. Hi, I have a projects created in old Logic 4.xx version. I can't opened neither import. I get an error and message which sends me back to Logic 4.xx. Anyone can help me? I want the projects to be editable in L10.xx Thanks J
  8. Ok. Sure, but once you get used to that it's not a problem as such. I haven't tested, but can speculate. The easy workaround is when recording, don't select other tracks during the recording process. This seems simpler to do, rather than to engage in all kinds of roundabout workarounds like routing the incoming MIDI to the instrument channels directly (which works, because you're sidestepping the problem of going to the sequencer, but doesn't solve anything if you want to record that data, because then it has to go the the sequencer anyway. Otherwise, it might be worth investigating the method by which Logic distributes incoming MIDI events to record-enabled tracks - I haven't specifically tested your scenario to understand the exact behaviour of Logic in this case. The simplest thing I suggest is simply not to click around and select other MIDI tracks while recording your sequencer parts. If this is a problem for your workflow (eg while recording you like to jam around with other instruments and switch tracks and record other parts) and if Logic is fragile in this regard, I can look at whether the behaviour can be improved maybe... Thanks for your help. I don't click around when recording - just when Logic is running. I will look one more time in my studio tommorow and go through this one more time.
  9. Thanks, Christian - I did not know that. Anyway, as you said - everything is forwarded to the selected track. Does not matter what is the midi channels of the selcted track.. which is weird in my opinion. After all, midi channels are meant just to separate things, right? Besides that, Cirklon's USB output is not entirely clear to me how it's designed. There is one physical output, but Logic can see 6. Moreover, each of them can be MULTI which is potentially 96 channels ... Currently I have set USB1 / 2/3/4 to control 4 instruments in Logic.
  10. If this is not clear I will explain again. I want to control 4 instruments like ES1, Alchemy etc. with an external sequencer - Cirklon. Cirklon is connected as a USB controller - it reports 6 inputs to the host. Each track in Cirklon sends the different pattern to Logic on a separate midi channel. I started with the method you suggest - I made 4 tracks in Logic, each track on a different midi channel. For a better idea, let's call them 1-2-3-4. First problem: This method is not intuitive for me, because all tracks from 1-4 must be armed. Second problem: track # 5, which the midi region plays some Logic patern also starts playing Cirklon patterns when it is highlighted - meaning it automatically arms and starts playing OMNI everything Cirklon sends on channels 1-4. Why, if track 5 has a completely different midi channel? BTW. This is what I actually what I want to achieve -
  11. I don't really know what you are doing or what the data you are recoring is, I was just responding to you wanting to record individual MIDI channels to individual tracks, which is what that method achieves. I don't really understand what you are trying to achieve, really. If your sequencer is playing four parts, one on each MIDI channel, then multiplayer record will work just fine. If you are doing something else different to this, it's not really clear to me what you are doing. 12. Thanks, I know that. Unfortunatelly this does not work for me at all. That's why I had to create this Enviroment setup. With the Multiplier method, the problem is that every other track highligted Is playing my external sequencer pattern. Whatever the channels I choose, does not mater. So I hade to hard wire the tracks with cables to the inputs.
  13. What is Multiplier Record? How to set it up? Thanks.
  14. I need your help. I have built a simple setup with which I can play Logic instruments with Cirklon hardware sequencer through USB. I have no huge experience in creating such a setup, but finally i made it and it works well - tracks don't need to be armed, they play independently on 4 MIDI channels from Cirklon. Was what I meant. Unfortunately, the problem arises when I want to record MIDI data from Cirklon USB inputs. When I connect with cable my instruments into the Sequencer Input - Logic records all channels together to one track actually selected. I would like it to record separately MIDI for a given track. I read somewhere that there should be a Transform object between each instrument and the Input Sequencer. Does anyone know how to do this?
