  1. Exactly that is the one problem with how Logic works, if you run S1 or Reaper you need as many cores as possible, but in Logic the individual core is the thing that can bring logic to a grinding halt, if only they could allow VI's to use two or more cores when being played in real time, I can dream.
  2. Ah, cool thanks davidvilla, good find.
  3. Can anyone resize the performance window? I can't seem figure out why but it doesn't work.
  4. Go to store menu and click reload page.
  5. apologies, thought you had missed the point (that we read each post as a response to what's above it). so it goes; am many things, and (i guess) classy is not one of them. will try to be more thoughtful in the future (i keep promising that....!)... Actually by apologising you have shown you do have lots of class and you also have my respect.
  6. these threads are a dialog, and people respond to the last thing written; just how it always works. if you're going to comment about something said earlier (or, the thread title itself), you want to state that clearly, since we read these things in order... just saying! I have already said, "but you are right I probably should have been clearer about what I was referring to." so I think by bringing it up again is rather continuing to hammer the nail in the wall once it's already in, do you really think you need to explain to me how a forum thread works? I'm not a child, I'm a fully grown man that has been around a long time, I don't need any instructions from you thanks, you could have just excepted that I had acknowledged what you had said, I showed you respect, so why couldn't you have shown a bit of class and done the same?
  7. If you think that is the way Apple runs it's business then with respect I think your wrong, I have worked with Apple on several occasions, I have setup and run two shows in the UK Apple headquarters, and they have always taken these things very seriously, everything has to be exactly so, they are very very strict, so there is no way they don't care, something has gone wrong, this is not normal behaviour, and it could even lead to someone getting the sack.
  8. ah... you should spell out what you're saying (your post followed one about zooming issues)... To be fair this thread is titled "new logic version" so that is what I was talking about, but you are right I probably should have been clearer about what I was referring to.
  9. if you say so i am having an amazing time on both my macs (in mojave); especially in logic X, my main app. am enjoying stability, speed, power. bugs? there are always bugs, it's the nature of software. I'm talking about the fact they have different specs on their sites, and are advertising a version that isn't even released, that is incompetence, unless you think they have done it on purpose and it's all part of a well thought out and executed strategy.
  10. Well then i guess it's just another triumph of Apple's incompetence these days.
  11. check the track numbers, the gradients on regions. in comparison, here's logic as it is now... You might be right but I'm not sure I can see a gradient, and what can you see different about the numbers?
  12. Sure I understand your point, and of course I'm not saying Apple is "intentionally offering misleading information to convince people to buy something that isn't as advertised" but they are still liable for the info they put out even if it's a mistake, and of Course Apple isn't worried about a few refunds but it's still very unApple like, I have never seen them do this before, it's either a mistake or just very bad practice.
  13. Again, with respect in my understanding thats not actually 100% correct, but we can agree to peacefully disagree on that, Can you agree though that to have specs up that aren't released and different regional websites having different information is pretty lame/unprofessional for a company like Apple, as I say I have never seen this before so I find it very peculiar.
  14. Sorry skijumptoes, I don't mean any disrespect but that just isn't true, I have been working in Marketing for many years and this is very bad practice and is false marketing, the website states that Logic supports 1000 tracks, the current version doesn't, the new specs should not be up until it's available, otherwise it is false advertising, If you buy something that is advertised on the website as having some capability and then it doesn't then that is false advertising and would require an immediate refund, and in some countries could make the company liable, not that Apple care about that but it is very bad practice and I have never seen Apple behave like this, usually they are very careful/Professional in this regard, so it's weird IMO.
  15. So why is Apple using false advertising? If someone brought Logic Pro today because it did what the new specs say it does then found out it was just fake specs then what? I have never seen Apple so messed up, what is going on? Even small incompetent businesses wouldn't advertise a product that isn't available, for a company like Apple to do this is just crazy.
