  1. The watermarking is not like a typical watermark which are shade over the whole page and over photos. instead it is simple text at the bottom right corner of each page says: "From the Library of ". I didn't noticed it at first, you probably won't notice it either.
  2. FYI, the 10.5 book is out! I received today email from peachpit and downloaded the pdf. I already have the 10.4 book which was great fun for learning and practicing new features, and I'm looking forward to learn some new tricks with the new edition. thanks David.
  3. Really nice. I wish one day I can have one like yours. Still saving up my money. cheers, and good luck!
  4. Well, after enjoying watching the amazing setups people came up with, here is how my little home studio looks like, I hope you'd like it.
  5. When you're in HUI mixer mode, you should scroll tracks up/down using the 2 trigger pads buttons at the end of the pads row, and use the knob above them to scroll banks. To make sure where the related buttons and knob are, just open the gui window, and it should be displayed there.
  6. I just came across this fix and thought I should update you all. the new beta version of liquidmix can be downloaded from: http://beta.focusrite.com/releases/liquid_mix/ While most of us managed to work by applying the work around for the problem of liquidmix au validation in snow leopard. It's nice to find out that finally the focusrite guys fixed the issue. And there's an update for the graphic look as well... Enjoy!
  7. It is true that in Logic you only have the stereo multi out for Superior Drummer 2, ,while I think that other DAWs have also a mono multi out option. I also wish they'll add that in future release, and give a proper mono mixing template. As a work around, you can pan each channel/mic of the Superior mixer to the left, and give each one a different output port (so the KD In is 1-2, KD Out is 3-4,..etc) - you are not going to loose sound since the samples are all mono. And as long as you need up to 16 mics you'll be ok (since it allows 16 stereo outs). Then, add the aux as you did and switch them to mono. the cross sign over the plugin shouldn't worry you as long as the signal is being routed to the stereo out in each aux properly and can be heard. And about muting the original instrument channel, I think that's the default 1-2 output from the superior, which means the kicks mics are going there, and the first aux channel you add, starts with superior output 3-4. but again you can change that by changing the output in the superior mixer (so you can get the kicks starts from out 3-4, etc) I hope it wasn't too confusing and that it helps.
  8. Well, you are pointing at the right location, and I can see your problem. I'd try what Nublu suggested, and reinstall the midi if possible, and when doing so, verify that you are logged in as administrator, and verify carefully the location of the installation.
  9. Hey Logicno8, did you check the folder I gave you: HD\Library\Application Support\EZdrummer\Midi\ Because on the screen capture that you attached, you are showing the HD\Library\Application Support\Superior Drummer 2.0 Like yourself, I have Superior 2 (2.2.1), and some additional SDX and EZX, but all the midi grooves, are placed under the ezdrummer\midi folder. Regards the EZplayer pro, I agree with you that it's useful for drum formats convertions. I'm not sure how to help you with the drag and drop issue, since it's seems to work fine for me. are you using the 32bit logic?
  10. To answer your question, the midi files located on your HD at: HD\Library\Application Support\EZdrummer\Midi\ (notice this isn't the HD\users\Home user\Library..) And about the drag and drop, it is simply done by choosing the relevant variation of the midi groove, or it's specific instrument and then...(surprise;) drag and drop it to one of the tracks that appear in the bottom of EZdrummer Pro. But if you ask me, there is no real need for using the EZdrummer since the update to version 2.2 of the superior drummer, which gives you the midi grooves window- integrated in the superior drummer, for quick testing, and one point solution. Therefore, all you need to do is to drag and drop your chosen groove from the superior drummer to the midi track in your DAW, and any DAW can gives you the tools to edit the midi as you want it.
  11. Hi Kogstudio, I had similar problem after I upgraded my osx to snow leopard, and focusrite are slow with giving their customers a proper solution, so I understand your frustration. The good news - there is a solution: follow slobby procedure as written in this post - http://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?p=252580&sid=afc4b7fb981474a64730b68b864df767 It should do the trick, try several times if needed. once you'll mange to validate, everything will work as expected. Good luck.
  12. Hi Bynoe, I had similar problem in which logic 9.1 crashes when I used the remote sl with logic template 39. After I contact the support team, they managed to reproduce it, and the solution we got until the fix is to work in HUI mode. No crashes for me since the switch to HUI.
  13. Mixing Audio (Mixing Audio on Amazon) is the best mixing book I read.
  14. I agree with David that if you get an average sound out of apogee duet your problem lies somewhere else...and if you need to run between rooms to get good answers to why one gear is better than other, you probably need to learn more about the recording and mixing chain you use. From my experience, it's rare to find producers and sound engineers recording above 48Khz. but to be honest, if thats what you think will boost your sonic performance and you have the money and hardware resources for it, then enjoy it. but enough with all that 192=Pro, we don't make music for dogs, do we? (no need to answer here.. )
