  1. I'd like it if the selected track header /track stack header could be controlled by a key command. I often use the up/down arrow keys to navigate tracks
  2. I agree! A KC to toggle track stacks would be awesome!
  3. Hi fearofbirds, Full disclosure: I work for macProVideo.com - so just to let you know we released 6 video courses (about 7 hours worth of training) covering the new features the day Logic Pro X was released... and we have plenty more LPX courses in production I'd definitely recommend attending David's course in LA too! You can roll it into a Logic training holiday fest!
  4. Yes you can run Logic 9 and X on the same system... but (and I'm quoting Steve H now) once you get into Logic X you won't want to go back. Shame that Sylenth still isn't 32-bit... been a long time since Logic incorporated 64-bit architecture now!
  5. You can go one better in Logic Pro X: Project Alternatives lets you save the project in different states - yu can set a unique name too. Backups allow you to visit previous saved versions of the project. and you can now enable AutoSave!!
  6. Our pleasure... or should that be my pleasure... either way, it's a pleasure! Oh, just published a new tutorial article by David Earl on the new Flex Pitch you might find interesting.... https://www.macprovideo.com/hub/logic-pro/logic-pro-x-tutorial-flex-pitch ...and got another article on the Arpeggiator MIDI FX coming soon too!
  7. Exciting times with the new Logic Pro X now officially released. Seen many questions here about the new Logic X... so, (without advertising the 5 other new paid-for video courses at macProVideo.com on Logic Pro X) ... I thought you guys might be interested in learning more about the new features in this FREE video course by Steve H: http://play.macprovideo.com/logic-pro-100-whats-new-in-logic-pro-x/1 We've also got free tutorial-articles on the new features by Steve H, David Earl and our other authors being published over the coming days over on the MPV Hub... Enjoy! Logic Pro X is IMHO a real improvement over Logic Pro 9
  8. Hi BWTFFAM, and a very happy 2012 to you too ! Glad to know you got Amplitube working well. Yes... I was going to include a Monitor object in RN2 but tried to make it more seamless - you know - something that, hopefully, would just work automatically... Anyway, glad you find it useful and if you unpack it and find ways to make it work better do post your results
  9. Hey! Random Nature 2 certainly isn't the definitive word in an effect randomizer for Logic... It's designed to work with Logic's built-in plugins (those that send Fader data from the channel strip... so can't comment on Amplitube and controlling drop-down menus from within a Logic plug-in like Echo time - hmmm... good point. Never designed it to work with those. I wonder if they send out fader data... if not, then bang goes the ability to easily control them. If you want to try assigning controls manually then you can connect up the channel strip to a Monitor object and when you move a parameter on a plug-in you should see a MIDI value being sent to the Monitor. Once you know the Event type, etc then you can control it. Check out Random Nature 1 (also posted in this forum's Environment sharing area) for this... viewtopic.php?f=9&t=34215&p=177608&hilit=random+nature#p177608
  10. The delay time of what? Is that really the concern? Ok, the delay time of a delay plug-in, of any instrument on earth, which is completely irrelevant to the hypothetical at question here. Hi Hopefully the "Random Nature 2" environment that Jordito linked to above has helped..? Let me know if you need any help with it... Cheers
  11. Hi Bottom left of the Ultrabeat's Sequencer area is a button named: "pattern" Drag this to a track lane in the Arrange area.
  12. Quite straightforward to create Channel Strip Settings (CSS) and folders: 1. Insert instrument / insert plugins of choice on a channel strip 2. Click hold on the CSS button at the top of the channel strip in the Inspector / Mixer. 3. Choose "Save Channel Strip Setting as..." from the pop-up menu. 4. In the save dialog window you can create a new folder (bottom left corner) and name your CSS as desired. TIP: As folders are displayed alphabetically, if you want your "Orchestral" folder or to appear above your "Bass Synths" folder then use a naming system for the folders like so: 01 Orchestral 02 Bass Synths 03 Pianos 04 ... etc, etc. Hope that helps,
  13. Hit the Caps Lock key to turn your Mac's keyboard into a 'Musical keyboard'.
  14. Unfortunately it's not possible in Logic 9.
