  1. Okay. So I've done more experimenting and I have found that if you solo a track that is sharing sends with other tracks, the sends across all of the shared tracks will now pass the audio through as if they are pre fader. If you remove the send on that track, then all of the other tracks using that send will suddenly stop passing audio to that Aux like they should. I opened a new project, did similar routing and these attributes do not apply. So it is something project specific that Garageband sets up on their sessions that carries over when opened in Logic.
  2. I'm not sure how I would check that. If there is, it would have been something that was set-up in Garageband.
  3. I am somewhat familiar with Logic, but this has me stumped. I have converted a project from Garageband to Logic and I am having an issue where any sends beyond Bus 1-2 are acting as Pre Fader even though they are Post fader. I made a video about this so you can see what is going on. Is this a bug? or is this a setting I'm just missing somewhere?
  4. Thank you everyone for your advice. This was driving me nuts!!! I was able to solve it by deleting all of my older WaveShells in my Components folder that were older than 11.0. Now it doesn't scan the plug-ins anymore.
  5. When I run Pro Tools with a HUI mixer alongside Logic, Logic receives a low C-2 127 note repetitively. So if I arm a track to record, it will play a low note over and over again. I have found a work around per project which has been to use the Environment Window and in Global Objects, Send the Remote Ports that are sending those notes to Monitor which then stops those notes from hitting the sequencer Input. Everything is great! However, Is there a way to make this a default option? I am working on MIDI files that always require that I open a new project from them. Each time I do that, I have to remap the remote ports to the monitor which gets tedious after so many projects. I tried creating a template, but I am running into a different tedious problem with that route where now I would have to make sure I copy the tempo map over on every new session. Plus, there are other annoyances that are not saving with the template such as the ruler switches to time, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  6. Thank you for the information. I'll just make sure that regions start on the downbeats from here on out. They weren't on the downbeat because I just beatmapped a bunch of midi that wasn't recorded with a click. So I trimmed the region beginnings so that they will now line up. Thanks.
  7. Apple? Just kidding. Unless Apple bought Pro Tools to shut it down.
  8. I can't even figure out how to subscribe to a thread. I don't see a subscribe button anywhere on the page. I'm sure I'm just blind or something.
  9. Atlas007, I have looked in every view window for this option and I cannot find it. This is the exact issue I am dealing with and I want to change this setting so that whenever I quantize in a region, it will respect the grid regardless if the clip isn't starting right on the downbeat. Please help me find this option. I do have advanced options showing. Thanks.
  10. Thank you so much for this thread. I have had this annoying Low C note playing non stop every time I record enable a track due to my control surface being connected to Pro Tools. Sending the remote channels from my control surface to the monitor got rid of the problem. THANK YOU! Out of curiosity, is there any way to get the Physical Input menu to look any clearer? I have all of my MIDI inputs crammed together in that little window and it is so hard to tell where I am plugging the virtual cables. Thanks. (I am on Logic X)
  11. Thank you both for the links and tip. That is exactly what I was looking for. FWIW I did type in automate metronome and nothing came up. I always search before I ask a question.
  12. Is there any way to automate the metronome on and off? For example, I want to add 4 clicks of the metronome at the beginning of a song and then I want the metronome off. I also may want it to come in and out here and there. Thanks.
  13. The video shows it all. (The sound and picture are off from each other for some reason, but you will get the point) I tried fixing this by starting a new session and importing all tracks and everything and no luck.
