  1. no luck... still both affecting each other aarrgghhh please someone help meee
  2. Ok, what I did now (and hopefully works) is inside the REV2 menu i addressed it to MIDI channel 1 and in the Minitaur plugin that comes with it I went to settings and addressed it to MIDI channel 2 the same I did in Logic for both External Instrument plugins.. Fingers crossed
  3. hmmm, sorry to say, but now it got even worse. I put them both on different midi channel in the External Plugin (Moog on 1, REV2 on 2. Now they actually behave as one. Searching for a sound through the bank knob on the REV2 changes the sounds on the moog as well, where before it was just one filter issue.. weird... EDIT: I also changed the Midi channels like in step 3 on the link you posted
  4. Hi David, Awesome, thanks for the quick feedback! I really appreciate your help! Cheers Bart
  5. Hi David, Thanks for answering. I have them both through the External Instrument plugin. Rev2 has Midi Channel :All Input2 Minitaur has Midi Channel :All Input 1 Cheers, Bart
  6. Hi Everyone, Hopefully someone can help me. I recently got into external synths. I have a Dave Smith REV-2 synth and a Moog Minitaur hooked up to my logic session. Both sounds come through. But so weird, one of the knobs of the Minitaur affects the cutoff of the REV2... I had some issues before with the REV-2 in Logic though, certain parameters on the REV2 went back to 0 after turning the knob, and the cutoff knob was suddenly attached tot the volume slider of the Logic X External Instrument plugin... (these problems only occured within Logic ) I found 'bypassing All Control Surfaces' took care of this problem I think its a Logic thing, maybe I am dong something wrong in the setup? hope to hear from someone! Bart
  7. thanks for the responses guys! My compensation is set to all already . Gonna try that signal trick. Although, it is so weird that certain plugins that emulate sidechain with volume curves are off grid as well. The timing is totally off, which isnt so when I add them on a single channel.
  8. Hi everyone Hope someone recognizes this problem or knows what's going on. I have this weird timing problem with sidechaining on busses or on track stacks. It doesn't matter if it's Logics own compressor doing the sidechaining, or dedicated plugins like Volumeshaper & LFO tool. The timing isn't on the beat anymore when I want to sidechain a group of channels in a bus/track stack. Like wayy off. Had this in Logic X before the update and now in 10.3 as well I use the kick channel as input Sidechaining on seperate channels works OK. Is there something I am overlooking? Hope to hear from you. Thanks!! Bart
  9. Hi, I think you need to have them on your dektop, then in Nexus you can choose import banks. doing this from memory at the moment, but it should be one of the menu's, next to the main screen in Nexus. (library, sys, mix etc)
  10. Hi Fisherking, Thanks for answering! I am running OSX Yosemite 10.10.5 at the moment. I did just put out a ticket on their support section. In the past they have been very kind indeed. Was just hoping someone here know the issue too.
  11. Hi guys, I have a weird problem. Suddenly my Refx Nexus 2 plugin stopped working in Logic X. In the plugin manager it gave a 'crashed validation' message. I deleted everything Nexus-like from my computer, downloaded all the files from my account on refx.com and did a new install. It still gives a 'crashed validation' in logic X, but when I decided to try if it came up in Logic 9, it did, and it worked. However, I use X and would like to have it working there too. it shouldn't be a 32 vs 64 bit issue, or would it? I use 32 lives as bridge and it didnt show up in there.. Hope to hear from you, thanks in advance!!
  12. Hi Arnaud, Thanks for responding! Hmm, yeah that could be a nice way to see the culprits.. Have not thought about that yet. Thanks
  13. Hi everyone, I was wondering. Is there a way to see which plugins (logic and third party ones) are demanding a lot of the cpu? of course, i know some Synth plugins I use are pretty demanding, but i was just curious if there is some statistic meter within logic that says which plugins uses which cpu load. Hope to hear from you, thanks! Bart
  14. Hi guys, Hope someone can help me. All of a sudden i have this super weird bug. When I route channels to a bus, and put sidechain on it ( I tried different ones: lfo tool, Pro-MB, Volumeshaper and Kickstart), the sidechain starts on the kick, and not on the hihat, so to speak, so it's off.. I never had this before and sidechain works on channels themselves, just not when grouped on a bus. And in old projects, where there already is sidechain on a bus, it does work like it has, but when i add a sidechain plugin (to see if the bug is still there) the problem repeats. So basically it is a new bug, putting latency compensation on 'all' doesnt work I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance! Bart
  15. Hi shivermetimbers, thanks for the reply! Thanks for your three options (although i have to admit i don't understand option 1) I will post some more info. I am using the SSL XLogic G series busscompressor. I have it attached to my RME FF 800. On inputs and outputs 3-4. On my output 1-2 i have my monitors.. I am using Logic pro 9. You are right about the I/O plugin, I have always used this, so in my projects I work towards it, so I also end up with stuff sounding as I want it to sound. But i just wondered if there was another way. I have a chain of plugins on my master, in this order: 1 Logic Channel EQ 2 BBE Sonic Maximizer 3 SPL Vitalizer 4 I/O plugin (with SSL comp) 5 Waves L2 Limter Might there be some sort of routing option for not using the I/O plug? Like: send the output of all wav and midi channels in my project to a channel with : 1 Logic Channel EQ 2 BBE Sonic Maximizer 3 SPL Vitalizer then send this channel to output 3-4 (the outputs of my ext compressor) and then send this 3-4 to a new one with 5 Waves L2 Limiter so basically deconstruct my one master output in 3 different ones (but in the same order ). i hope you get what i mean I see that outputs in Logic (like Stereo out or 3-4 ) don't have in and out on their channel (or sends for that matter), so that might be difficult (hope you know what i mean, sorry for the nooby explanations) Anyway i hope somebody (perhaps you) reads this , thanks! bart
