Yep 100% it’s ticked. Deleted preference stuff for logic and cs etc. Only weird thing is 2 hangover Akai midi devices (not used) that I can’t delete as they don’t seem to exist. If I save templates with midi settings for various devices I might get round this too as opening midi preferences is the main cause of the sysex outbursts.

Thanks for advice. Removed old launchpad, kept ipad. Other than that nothing in there. Tried removing old plugins and software. Nothing really stopping Loud Technologies / Mackie doing it's thing though. Can I filter out sysex from going external?

Interesting. Events are all like this: 17:42:55.156 To UMC404HD 192k SysEx Loud Technologies / Mackie 7 bytes F0 00 00 66 10 00 F7 I have bypass on for control surfaces and have never installed anything by Mackie.

Nah, still doing it. It's seemingly coming from Logic itself which is weird. Even filtered out everything you can in project > midi, so seems to be something Logic does? Ideally it wouldn't!

Is this normal? It goes out to external devices and they start playing notes, playing sequences and other weird things after. Does it when I open other dialog boxes and new projects too I think but can't replicate that every time. No midi in or control devices. I've reset preferences too to try to flush it out.

Yeah, works for audio loops in that project but not when I add a new audio recording. Where the loop has Follow Tempo Tick, my new recorded audio track has Flex and Follow Off in the inspector window? I can select the speed change just doesn't set it.

Playing around with logic live loops for first time, and not the last as it's flippin' great fun. Can't get speed to do anything though - any hints? I have option enabled (flex and follow off etc) but just does nada. Everything else seems fine - reverse, pitch etc.
