  1. Sorry... just realized that I had that transposition by half steps thing wrong. The ones on channels 1 and 3 corresponded to the number of half steps, but channels 2 and 4 both transposed by 1 half step. confusing.
  2. Thanks for this helpful post! Everything is great with this setup except that when I have the MIDI controllers plugged in (I'm using Oxygen8's through an m-audio Midisport 4x4), the pitches that I have mapped in logic are mapped up on the keyboard the same number of halfsteps at the MIDI channel I've entered (so channel 1 the notes are a half step higher, channel 2 the notes are a whole step higher, etc). I'm not sure if this is a problem in Logic (running Express 8) or with the controllers - sound familiar to anyone? Thanks!
  3. I'm having a problem using multiple MIDI controllers. I'm running Logic Express 8 on a MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard, and I'm connecting four Oxygen8 MIDI keyboards through a 4x4 m-Audio Midisport interface connected via USB. I've plugged the four Oxygen8's into the MIDI In slots on the Midisport - A, B, C, and D. Then I created four different Software Instrument tracks in Logic, each with a different instrument running, and record enabled them. Logic automatically detects the Oxygen8s, but the problem I'm having is that all four keyboards are controlling all four record enabled tracks - so if I press one key on one keyboard, I get a response from all four tracks at once. What I want to be able to do is select the MIDI port for each track, but there doesn't seem to be an option for that that i can find. I can change the MIDI channel on each track, but that doesn't seem to work (I'm also confused there, because as I understand it, each slot on the Midisport supports 16 channels of MIDI - so there should be 64 MIDI channels when all the slots are hooked up). What I need at the end of the day is to run all four keyboards at the same time with each one controlling a separate Software Instrument in Logic. I'm a relative novice here, so excuse me if I've overlooked some major point, or if I'm posting in the wrong place. I appreciate any help folks can give!
