  3. Thanks Erik, Hmmm ... so it sounds like for smaller recording projects, the new M-1 Mac Mini with just 8 Gigs of ram should be good enough.
  4. Ok ... so .... since I originally bought Logic Pro 7 full retail version and then the upgraded to Logic Studio 8 will the above: ( MB798Z/A upgrade to Logic Studio 2.0 ) which I've found still "In-Stock" and available today, thru an online-store for almost half price ... contain anything different from buying the full version for $199 - from the Mac App Store ? Just trying to save some bucks if it's the same.
  5. Hey David, I'm still on Logic Pro 8 Retail full version(w/G5 PPC) and have just gotten an Intel Mac Mini Server so i can get newest Logic Studio 9. I've seen discounted ads for upgrades to Apple Logic Studio: MB798Z/A MB799Z/A do you know what the difference between the above part numbers would be ? can i assume these are legal versions ? ~Thanks
  6. Which CD/DVD drive did you get from OWC ? Thanks for the review ! I think it's time now for me to take the leap up to the Mac Mini Server.

  9. Just to confirm please ... Does this also include the last model "Late 2005" dual-core G5 with 64-bit data paths and registers, Parallel data structure, Dual-pipeline Velocity Engine for (SIMD) processing ??? http://support.apple.com/kb/SP37 Thank-you
  10. ... the late 2005' Dual Core G5 was the first 64-bit Apple and much different than the previous G5's so it would depend on which one you are using. chart below from the OWC website:
