I've been using Logic's presets with GTR Amp (waves suite) and I'm getting some pretty good results.

Beautiful as far as melody is concerned. Really liked the uniqueness of it UNTIL the drums kicked in and the whole vibe changed. The drums sound too dry, artificial. They stand out from the rest of the mix as if stylistically they didn't belong in the ambience of the song. It was just too messy, all over the place at the end. There's a missing sense of coherence in the last part. I did like the beginning though, A LOT. Very moving, soothing, and overall powerful in a unique type of way.

32 lives sometimes reminds me that the trial is over, but I have a cracked version of the new update. Think it has anything to do with that? Definitely lol! The reason the plug ins disappear is because 32lives isn't in effect. I had it happen to me as well. I just decided to get new/update plug ins. It's a hassle trying to keep up with times with outdated plugins. I know it's hard when we're used to something, since we know the plugin so well and get attached to it, but the best thing is to either upgrade the plugins (pay for it if needed or have patience) or find a modern alternative.

Haven't run into this problem, mainly because I don't use the piano roll much, but learned something new that might be helpful in the future. This forum is so full of valuable resources and information.

Is it me or when sending channels to a bus with plugin effects, it just doesnt sound the same as if the channel itself had the plugin effects? I send the channel to a bus with the effects (bus send volume 0DB). The bus channel is at 0DB, while the source channel is at whatever volume I set it on originally. Should I change the volumes around? Or am I doing it correctly? I just get a drier sound when sending the channel thru a bus track.

I ain't updating anything until further notice! >:[ My good old Fast Track Pro interface was deemed useless (no drivers for new os) after upgrading to El Capitan so I had to get a new one (Audient id14). I'm not risking having to adjust anything else. I'm fine with whatever version of El Capitan I have at the moment, and will be for at least 2 years or so. Would love to read some horror stories though. >:]

I do like how modern it looks and feels in comparison to the other two. I appreciate your time and input, it truly helped as well! I will convert with all programs and give the songs a listen with a fresh ear tomorrow because I am burnt atm, been mixing all day. Again thanks to all!

+1 I like iTunes in many ways otherwise, but absolutely recommended to put an XLD alias on your dock or desktop and drag & drop a file on it, conversion done in no time! Appreciate your time and help. XLD does seem to be very well regarded. Also thanks to everybody who contributed earlier and mentioned the alternatives to iTunes.

Just checked out XLD, Max and Adapter; all seem like excellent choices TBH. Guess I'll download all three to make my own comparison.

Yikes, this is what I suspected and that's why I asked in this forum since I know most of the posters here are producers and have experience with this. Eric, what do you mean by clunky? Not as many settings as you would like or simply inferior in conversion quality? Ploki, which one have you seen being highly recommended by the community? I don't care as much for GUI as I do for quality.

Long story short, I don't have the project files anymore, only the WAVs of the projects. I want to convert them to MP3 so I was wondering if there was a recommended converter that provided the highest quality conversion process possible? I appreciate your time and help/recommendations.
