  1. Hi Guys, Last Saturday was the day from hell, and I wanna thank you David for helping on a Saturday afternoon. I had a ton of work come in, one 30sec commercial spot for a local prod company, various VO things to get done, and that one rock project, that the band just HAD TO HAVE ready for mastering THAT DAY.....OMG.......anyway, it was such a silly issue, and I'm just getting back to you guys now. In the M-Audio Control Panel, Stereo outputs 1-2 were panned to the center, Hence in Logic the panning did nadda.....pan left to the left and right to the right in the M-audio panel, and BAM!!! But thanks again for the help....I really appreciate it.....
  2. Here is the other screen shot, I was thinking that I was monitoring in mono too, but can't figure out where to change that if it is. Check out track #3, NT-1 Mesa. Its panned pretty far right, but audibly remains center.....
  3. Hi David thanks for the reply, Here is the mixer, I take back my first statement that there is no audible difference, it seems that panning changes the volume of the track ever so slightly.....very strange....tell me what you think...... Logic mixer
  4. Hello all I have run into this issue once before with Logic 9, can't remember how I fixed it. I am using an M-audi C600 interface...In the desktop software for the interface I have DISABLE HOST CONTROL Unchecked, in logic Panning a track hard left or hard right produces NO results, it stays center, its like the panners just aren't working.....no audible differences can be heard when panning, I think its a simple thing......any ideas????
  5. So, IS LPX disappointing??? NO. Not at all....in fact it is a VERY welcome upgrade to Version 9 great set of new features , The only thing I can say is that the features we got in LPX have existed in many other DAW programs for years, Flex pitch melodyne style pitch correction has existed in SONAR for a long time, Cubase too. Did it really take Apple 5 YEARS! to come up with these improvements, I don't think so....But in anycase that is my one problem... that it took extremely long to deliver features that have been available in other daws for years....so I hope the frequency of updates to LOGIC PRO X increases and we see more innovation and updates more consistently and more frequently. Other wise LPX ROCKS
  6. Hello all, Haven't posted in a while, mainly because I know EVERYTHING! not really.....but, just finished the gigantic download of the extra content for logic pro X, gotta say, I really like the in app download feature, made it real easy!! Any case. Watching the super cool flyover video from SFlogic ninja, David was demonstrating track stacks with the Drum Designer plug in, and using the PRODUCER KITS. I checked the download additional content, and it says that all the content is downloaded and installed, but I don't see the Producer Kits? am I missing something? Anyway, awesome update to Logic, lovin it!
  7. Had the same issue, you can filter it.....but hen you lose the use of the mod wheel...not the greatest solution, but it will get it done. I did narrow it down to the MPK49, and I sent it in to be repaired the tech called me and said that the unit was quiet as mouse and no random messages were being sent, the minute I hooked it back to logic, it started soloing and muting tracks!! very frustrating. here is the thread. let me know if you come up with something. http://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=62827&highlight=
  8. jordito Thanks for all the help really. I understand what the clock messages are what I failed to mention was that it is happening randomly. I never set the MPK to external clock because I never use the function that require it like, like note repeat or the arppegiator. I don't understand how this relates to muting and soloing either, but me thinks it has something to do with it, just can't put my finger on it. I had Midi monitor on when the random Controller 9 messages were showing up and the soloing was happening. it could be a coincidence but, I'm really scratching my head on this one

  10. Very cool tool...thanks jordito here is what came up. I wasn't touching the MPK49 at all when these were generated. Also I had a hard time getting it to happen at first. but after the systems went to screensaver mode and I moved the mouse to get the system back. 11. Hi guys, Sorry to resurrect this old issue, but its still an issue for me. I tried everything in the thread. but nothing seems to work, I mean it works for a while but the soloing always comes back. and muting too. it is definitely the MPK49 when I unplug it, the problem goes away.....any other thoughts...I would hate to have to get rid of it all together and get an Axiom or something.
  12. The EXS24 now automatically locates samples stored in a folder inside the Project Folder that have any of the following names: “Samples,” “Sampler Files,” “Sampler Instruments,” or “Audio Files.” This is a pretty welcome addition....nice one. Can someone tell me what the Hyper Threading issue is a bout? I have a QUAD Core 2.66 running 32bit mode.
  13. David, Thanks so much for chiming in on this one. I have a Euphonix MC Control surface hooked up. and an AKAI MPK49 keyboard controller. I launched Logic with the MC Control off, and the problem persisted. I didn't check if solo mode was engaged, but..is this type of behavior typical for solo mode? I couldn't work last night, it just kept happening...click solo button, logic pops it back on. over and over and over. there was a stretch of time where the solo'ed track stayed off for about 3 mins, and then BAM...solo'ed again....
  14. I just want to add that...this is the most ANNOYING thing ever!! I can't get logic to stop soloing tracks, I just did a few more tests, it seems to happen with selected tracks weather in the arrange or the mixer, if I select it logic solos it...not instantly though, like a sec or two later...arrr,
  15. When it rains it pours, My last post was about stuck midi notes, trashed the prefs...no more stuck midi notes. Now instead logic is just randomly soloing tracks. I start a project up and the first track is solo'ed. I unsolo it, and even though the transport isn't moving, it pops back into solo!! What the hell is that about? happens in all projects since the pref trash. I replaced the old prefs, and no more stuck notes, but this solo thing is crazy. it seems to happen when I select a track in the mixer, remember now the transport isn't moving so its not an automation issue. I uncheck it, it pops back into solo? Help Thanks
