  1. Oh wow. Thanks. I’ll update Logic and try this too if necessary! 🙏🏼☺️
  2. What do you mean by coreAudio? Is there any way to make the default 48K other than creating a template and having to select it every time I open a new project? Thanks!
  3. It defaults to 44.1 when opening a new project.. Is it possible to make it so that it stays on 48kHz? That way I don't have to go into settings and change it with every new project. Thanks!
  4. That was it David LOL thanks
  5. Why are take folders sometimes not being created? This never used to happen, and I'm wondering what's causing it. The audio isn't lost, of course, if I drag each region to a new track I can extend the ends and the recordings are there. Just a little inconvenience.
  6. I have a vocal track and want to speed it up.. what's the best way to do it and maintain it's naturalness as much as possible? Thanks!
  7. reducing buffer size did it bro thanks. i really appreciate the thoroughness of your response.. i took a lot from it
  8. I always use Low Latency mode, of course. i'm using Logic's Compressor. No Lookahead parameter on it.
  9. I'm getting latency when I throw compressor on the channel strip while recording.. what audio recording settings should i adjust to fix this? Thank you!
  10. "Apply project tempo to region and downbeat" seems to be inconsisntent in Logic" Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it creates artifcats, sometimes the results are clean. My friend has Cubase, and he has no issues adjusting a vocal's timing a couple of bpm, and it sounding clean.
  11. Do vocals retain more quality when stretched or shortened with flex time, or does it matter? Like, say you speed up an audio region 2 bpm vs. slowing it down 2 bpm. Thanks!
  12. I recorded vocals in a project at 101bpm, but now, I've decided I like the song better at 103 bpm, so I've started a new project at 103. I'm trying to adjust the vocals recorded at 101 so they'll sync in time at 103. "Apply project tempo to region and downbeat" has been magical for me in the past, but it's not doing anything to these audio regions recorded at 101. I've tried copy and pasting the audio files into the new 103bpm project, and I've also tried adding those audio tracks via Logic's browser. The screenshot below is of the original 101bpm project. As you can see, it's so complicated. There is a lot going on, and to me it would seem more difficult to change the tempo and get all the audio files to properly sync to the new tempo. That's why I created the new project. The ultimate goal is to comp the vocals recorded at the original tempo (101) with the ones recorded at the new one (103) Any pointers would be appreciated. Thank you.
  13. triplets, makes sense. i'll keep that in mind and do it from now on. thank you fisherking, thanks. auto-save is great.. it saves your project so you can open back up to that point right before a crash, but it's not supposed to save an actual version of your project, as command-S does
