  1. Yes, that's the way. However, I would like to skip that dialog and insert different track types straight away by using key commands. I'm trying to find as fluent workflow as possible, so that's why I'm asking these dumb questions. Gotta get rid of every click and hit unnecessary.
  2. I'm assigning key commands for creating different sort of tracks. Can't find a key command for creating software instrument track by scratch. Am I missing something here? -j
  3. Thank you. That first solution works great! Saving and recalling zoom sets feels a bit complicated in practice. I'd like to save zoom set only once (zoom in) and then recalling that set and ditch the key command for saving completely. Gotta investigate this some more... -J
  4. You're right, the answer was found easily via help search. So the loop browser shows only apple loops but you can convert rex and acid files. That's great.
  5. Here's the easy one... I'm still reading the manual and haven't figured out yet whether you can browse regular loops or rex files etc. within loop browser? I'd like to try this but I never installed apple loops so I'm not sure where the defaul loop folder resides. -J
  6. Hi again, I like the key command Z for zooming to selected track, BUT I'd like to toggle back to overall view (default view of arr window), NOT zooming back to all content? As I'm working only with few tracks, the Z toggles now between one big track and four big tracks. Of course I can always use a screen set key to revert back to default arr window, so this isn't that big deal - just trying to cut some corners here. -J edit: just found auto zoom to selected track. This will work just fine.
  7. Thank you 45rpm! There seems to be a solution for every need (almost). As a totally beginner with logic and coming from Ableton and Cubase, I'm trying to recreate a workflow I had. So far so good
  8. How did I miss that I appreciate your help. -J
  9. Sorry all, I found a key command for add. But here's another question: how to get rid off that "add selected files to arrange" every time I'm adding something?
  10. Hello you all, I'm beginner with Logic so here's my question... Is there a key command to add an audio file straight from the browser to the arrangement window? In other words, a key command for that add button down right in the browser window. -J
