  1. I’m going to be doing to be running each input into the console in stereo…
  2. The Volt 476 has 4 independent TRS & TS outputs (Plus two monitor outs). TRS Output 1 - drums - TRS Output 2 Guitar -TRS Output 3 Synths - TRS Output 4 Bass. The SSL SiX has 6 inputs without the use of dsub cables and I was going to route these 4 inputs, push through eq’s and the master bus compressor on SiX, and then route back into the DAW when I want to print. Does that make sense?
  3. Technically, I will have 6 now that I think about it too. I won’t be using the monitor outputs on the interface but the outputs on the SSL SIX.
  4. I will have 4 outputs on either interface. I am wanting to stem just drums - bass - guitar - synth. All my music is instrumental.
  5. Afternoon, I am about to purchase some gear this week to help with not mixing just in the box. Currently, all I use is an Audient ID14 MK1 and various pedals. My drums are MIDI and I use Logic's drum set designer for sounds etc. Just wanting to add warmth, punch, and to clear up some mud. (Currently, I have a mound of plug-ins) So, I was thinking of a new interface. Either one of these will be my choice, please let me know if you suggest one over the other? SSL2+: https://www.solidstatelogic.com/products/ssl2-plus VOLT 476: https://www.uaudio.com/audio-interfaces/volt/volt-476-usb.html Paired with either one of those interfaces, I was going to get the following for reamping or summing. Neve 511: https://rupertneve.com/products/511 SSL SiX Channel Strip (Maybe 2): https://www.solidstatelogic.com/products/six-ch Mounting in here: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Cube500--radial-workhorse-cube But recently I have come across this guy and wondering if I should just focus on this for the time being. SSL SiX Desktop Mixer: https://www.solidstatelogic.com/products/six I am just thinking of going for the SSL desktop mixer and any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! CHEERS!
  6. Evening, just tried it went pretty straight forward! The issue I ran into was that the only channel strip that is working for the drums is the overall drums stereo out. Each track like the kick, overheads, etc are not pushing out audio. I usually just drop my main Midi drum recording on the top drum track and it filters it through all the channels. Is there something I am missing? Thanks!
  7. Omg thank you so much! I will try this tonight!
  8. What about bringing in this template to a pre-existing song? Thanks!!
  9. Good evening, In order to make my midi live drums within logic to remain consistent, I am wanting to make a template with - All plugins on each track - and same volume/pan information. So when I start a new song I just open these drum settings via a few clicks. The problem is that I don't know how to achieve this, as I have been trying to figure it out for over two hours. Let me know if there's a video I can watch or other tutorials, please! Its the basic setup for midi drums and trying to save this whole folder as a template to open in new sessions or copy to an existing session to change the drums: P.S. I am wanting the same virtual drums kits to always stay the same too and to not change sounds. Thanks!
  10. I do understand sending items dry. But I am asking if you simply include the top track or not?
  11. Evening All, I'm sending an engineer my files to mix, and wondering if anyone includes the main audio track within logic drums with your .wav files? It would be the very first track you can manipulate, before OVERHEADS in this picture. It will be labeled as UNMIXED+. Essentially, the tracks are not as powerful without it, and I don't know if that track is a mix down of all the tracks as a bus or just an overall volume? I do think it sounds way fuller with it, but I wanted all opinions, as I am no expert at any of this in Logic. (I also have a Tape Machine VST on it too, and it provides great warmth) Help, I'm scared because it sounds like a different song now. CHEERS!
  12. Thanks! I do believe the 'drummer' in logic has multiple outputs. But each time I export audio it's capturing everything as a stereo track.
  13. Hello, I'm about to send some recordings off to be mixed and was wondering if there's an easier way to individualize a piano roll of midi drums? Basically, my electronic drum kit notes are on one piano roll, and I see where you can separate notes by the pitch but I'm aiming to convert to dry audio files for mixes? Any helps would be much appreciated!
  14. https://imgur.com/a/hnYcP80 I mounted mine under my desk and hooked up my - Midi Drums - Midi Controller - Interface - Monitor - & External Drive. ONE CABLE TO RULE THEM ALL!
  15. I really do appreciate all ya'lls help and couldn't be happier!
