Also, when I make a beat in Ultrabeat, drag the pattern to the arrange window...how do I make it so that even if I change the pattern lets say, it wont mess up my loops and update my loops...I want my loops to stay the same without updating even if I change some settings in ultrabeat. Do I got to record the loops or something?

Ok, well I made a cool loop using Ultrabeat. I don't have any external instruments....I am simply using Logic to make my music. Now that I have this beat, what do I do with it? What is the next step after I have Ultrabeat sounding the way I want it to sound. I am a complete newbie....

How come when I make a beat in ultra beat...even when I dont put a pattern in the arange window...it will still play my beat without the pattern being on the arrange window? Thanks Paul

Hey everyone, this is my first post. I bought a brand new Intel Core Duo and bought Logic yesterday. I came over from a long time windows user. Am very skilled with alot of window apps...but Vegas, Premiere, Photoshop, they are all easy compared to Logic. Logic is truely professional in its learning curve and well I am really starting to see this is'nt going to be easily learnt. I wanted to know what you all would recommend a complete newbie do to learn Logic and how to make music the "correct way" in it. I tried to read the manuals but its like I want to get up and running, doing something...but all they are telling me is what everything is and does. I am more of a hands on person. So the manuals ar'nt good for me. So what should I do? Paul
