  1. I also find that it works really well to set up your session exactly how you want it then save as template, so whenever you open that template it is already set prettying how you want it:). You may know this already but just in case you didn't:)
  2. hey guys:) just wondering if anyone has encountered problems with converting a recorded bass line to score(so i can double bass with a sine wave), when i converted it, the rythm was right but it all came out as one note, quite a lot higher than the bass itself, I'm wondering if it is picking up overtones perhaps? Anyways, has anyone had this problem before? and can i adjust the settings so it picks up the notes correctly? thanks:)
  3. not sure man sorry maybe someone else can help?
  4. I think he just has that esx instrument solo'ed and he has other sounds such as the kick on different instruments. Alternately, you can use the multi out feature on exs wich allows you to route the different sounds within the esx to multiple channels on the mixer and therefore put any plugins you want on any of the individual hits you have in the esx. Does that answer your question or am I completely wrong?
  5. automation should do the trick. with automation you can basically record in real time, changes made to most parameters such as volume, cutoff, etc.i didn't really use automation before i switched to logic, but since i have it has opened alot of possibilities up! P.S please don't be offended if you already know what automation is, and you are trying to find a better way or something.
  6. ok will give that a go man thanks!
  7. thanks very much! but how do I do that exactly?
  8. hey guys this has happened ever since I got logic but it hasn't been an issue till now. When I use the evb3 organ, there is no sound triggering above middle on the midi keyboard, when I use the caps lock keyboard on my keypad it works fine, my midi keyboard does not do this at all with anything else so I am assuming this is a software fault, has anyone had this problem also? does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks guys:))
  9. yeah I would like to try out that golden age pre 73 it looks good! for about $500 can't go wrong, It's not worth getting one of those cheap shitty pre-amps dude,
  10. yeah my brother actually dates the daughter of the original bass player from men at work, some school still owned the rights to the kookaburra song, by law yeah they did plagiarise the melody, it's ridiculous though, the song is a national iconic song, and so is the kookaburra song, it's more of a theme thing, as to why they did that melody. I don't see kraft suing them because they mentioned a Vegemite sandwich, I s'pose the school saw a buck in it so they decided to cash in, but yeah I don't think they got stung too hard, but still pretty lame.
  11. HAHA yep ! it was a hidden track, such a simple solution! thanks you so much David you are a legend! f.y.i. yes the signal coming through out 1-2 was the same as out 5-6, I just couldn't figure out why it was doing that, see i just got an old tascam mixer and have been routing stuff through its preamps to 'analog' the sound up a bit, and recording the sound back in once I am happy with the texture, somebody obviosy has been pressing buttons while I am not in the room haha, I'm sure I have done the same in the past! thanks again for your help David it is much appreiciated!!!!
  12. hey guys something really strange is happening with logic, I have an esx24 triggering samples, routed to the line outs 5-6(in order to go through the mixing console i just bought yay!) which works fine, the only problem is that there is quite a bit of signal still coming through outs 1-2(output) in the mixer window and interface. There are no sends from this esx instrument, Have all tracks muted accept for this instrument. When I turn the desk down which is routed back to line ins 9-10 the sound goes away, but i have all the direct monitoring channels on my interface driver/mixer muted WTF!!! so I don't know why this is happening... What am I missing? What am i doing wrong? Is it a bug in my driver?
  13. haha sorry that was way too big!!! first time for everything I suppose!!
  14. ok I also have the the mod of the volume of osc1 assigned to a seperate envelope wich I have shortened to about 1 millisecond but it is still playing for duration of env 4? what am I doing wrong? I will try to send a screenshot..
