  1. Is it on playback that’s it’s out of sync? What’s your buffer size? Do you have low latency monitoring on? Is your master clock of your interface set internally to the same setting as logic’s? 512 is high particularly nowadays with fast machines. I suggest low latency monitoring and setting buffer to 64 or 128.
  2. So what is the best solution here for a motorised fader that follows not only volume but follows CC1 and 11? (As the CC's move up and down, so does the fader) Can the baby X-Touch one do it?
  3. Definitely a 1st-World-Logic-Problem,....BUT does anyone else experience this? I have three screens at the studio, One is TV for displaying movies, one is an Apple Thunderbolt display (Don't knock it! still works fine), and the 3rd is my new MacBook Pro M3. Despite having the Thunderbolt Display as my "Main display", whenever I open a Logic session it always opens up on the MacBook screen first. I then have to drag it (Sooooooo laborious) to the Thunderbolt! It never happened (Still doesn't) with my i9. I'm running the latest OS (14.1.1) and Logic 10.8.1. Just curious.
  4. Well fine friends, I received my totally max'd out M3 16inch MBP today. It's a complete ordeal re-installing everything, but definitely quite cathartic to not install plugins that I've not used in ages!! Having upgraded from a i9 fully Spec'd MBP I have to say,.......I miss the touch bar! I had the touch bar customised for quite a few things in LOGIC ,..... now I have to do a work around. Aside from the internals, which I know are insane, I do feel the build quality of the new one feels a little "Cheaper" than the i9..... Just saying! 🙂
  5. Luckily I made a copy of 10.7.9 before the upgrade. I'm having issues opening an older session on 10.8. Just doesn't open!! (Crashes)...Opens fine of 10.7.9
  6. Thanks David however no, all is set to stereo. Ended up just plugging in some wires ones. Still odd though
  7. Running all the latest OS etc,....on a i9 MacBook Pro. I was hoping to do some vocal editing on Logic and thought I'd just use my AirPods 3. I noticed that when I use Logic to output to AirPods (@128, 256 buffer) the output is in mono! When I run the session at 1024,...I actually get more errors and cant playback "System overload,....try increase buffer size" Any thoughts? Fairly strange you ask me,...
  8. Thanks Des, but I meant a way to do it globally. SO that Logic can detect if any track is empty then disable all plugins not being used.
  9. Hmm,...is there a way once a session is open to offload (from RAM) any software instruments that are not currently being used? I know when a logic file opens, it will only load the instruments that are currently being used in the session, but is there a way in the middle of working on a session to unload unused? I work with large orchestral templates, not all instruments are needed for all session but I don't wish to delete them,...if I by accident say click on a track, Logic will load that instrument even if I have no regions recorded in that track. It will not unload it until I close the session and re-open it. Make sense? Thanks
  10. Thanks for that @Plowman The continual striving for a better workflow is the way to go!! Hence in my case the experimentation with the Babylon/Plugsearch/MetaGrid Its pretty flakey though sadly (At least in my setup)
  11. Thanks @Plowman It is frustrating isn't it. I’ve been struggling last week trying to get the babylonwaves, plug search, metagrid stuff to work. Sadly many many mountains there! Still waiting on replies from support.
  12. I have never quite understood whether it's user error or if this is a bug. I use the Babylon Waves Articulation set along with my libraries. Why is it that the "Keyswitches Smart controls" doesn't display all the key switches in the articulation set?? Even if I "move" the onboard keyboard up or down an octave it doesn't dimply all switches Also, sometimes the key switching smart display appears and other times despite there being an articulation set set, it doesn't display and I only get the "Controls and EQ" option?
  13. Hi all, I’m aware that one doesn’t “need” a special pair of cans for spatial audio listening but are there any considerations for mixing on Logic Pro? I’m going to start dabbling in it before creating a mixing room and was wondering. Is it worth getting Apple AirPods Max? The latency concerns me. I have various studio-grade open and closed back sets which I enjoy, just not sure if they’re suitable for mixing in Atmos. thanks team.
