  1. But I am giving your suggestion a go, and it is really handy! I am using it so that I can just arm the stereo audio that uses the Bus as input! pretty time saving in the project, just ugly that i cannot move those two aux away unless they appear int the arrange as well
  2. David, your book is just awesome, got it paper and kindle edition always with me. Really love how you developed it! More ore less the steps you are doing are the same I do, the only difference is that I can share the decoder on the Aux (so more M/S tracks can have same processing) and in this current project it comes in handy, but I will keep your suggestion since can be really helpful in other part of the project. This thing I cannot understand is why is it so hard in Logic, the only software that comes with M/S decoder!!!!!! in Reaper/Protools is just 1 - create stereo track 2 - set input to M/S mic (where I added this alias like I/O labels, but I can create path and combination in them, logic keeps it locked to the 1-2 ...) the M/S mic is mapped as L <- Input 2 R <- Input 7 pretty simple
  3. Thanks, but I am recording M/S already so my stereo is already M/S but cannot make a single stereo track with logic since I cannot make one stereo input out of input 2 and input 7 (which I can do with Reaper and Protools in no time at all) I can only rename the pairs as Logic sees them , not add new input pair. I am already doing what is needed but Logic (as usual) is just adding complexity to something simple, I also have a lot of tools to deal process M/S on a single stereo track (strange enough logic also has a M/S decoder for a stereo track!!) but if I want to record a stereo source I need to do Input 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 (same stupid thing happens with multi instrument like Kontakt, if you want 8 stereo and 8 mono the first mono channel is 17!!!!!) Can I address that with the Input channel strip or is it going to keep the input pair as 1-2 3-4 n-n+1 ??
  4. The interface is a Saffire Liquid 56 and I using input 2 (one of the liquid) for Side mic and Input 7 (line in from UA LA 610 MKII) for the Mid, would like to build a single stereo track for this. Do not know much about the input channel strip. What do you mean about the format? Thanks!
  5. This is my question ... I want to create a stereo track and use as input a pair that is not consecutive, like input 2 and input 7. I could not find how to do this with logic while I did with Reaper/Pro Tool 9 with no problem. The issue is that I would like to avoid using a bus and aux track till the very last moment since I will have to put them in the arrange to properly layout them. If it is possible I would also love to avoid increasing the steps of the work around solution beyond 1 - create a mono track and assign input 2 2 - create a mono track and assign input 7 3 - send first track to an AUX and hard pan left 4 - send second track to the previous AUX and hard pan right I am already doing this and it is already annoying like this. but so far I could not find an easier way. Thanks!!!!
