  1. Thanks for the response! I'm talking about the browser that opens when I hit the "F" key I then navigate to my desktop where I keep my personal samples. I then open the folder that has samples in it. I can't seem to audition the samples when the sequencer is running and playing audio. Thanks!
  2. Is this behavior normal or am I missing something?
  3. Hi there, Im using Logic 10.3.2 When the sequencer is running and playing music (samples, instruments, etc.), I cannot preview samples in the browser. Is this normal? I have the speaker icon clicked on. When I'm not playing music in the sequencer the samples preview just fine. Curious. Thanks!
  4. You sir, are a life saver! This solved the problem. I was recording stuff in and then not turning rec button off. It's a shame we didn't figure this out earlier in the weekend. For me, it's the end of a 3 day weekend. Oh well. Now I know... Thanks again - solved
  5. Sorry, same result with delete. I select a range of audio with the marquee tool, hit delete, nothing gets split but the whole audio file changes color as if I selected it. I'm using 10.0.3 on a 2011 iMac btw
  6. Thanks for your help. I'll add a signature. But I think I'm on to something. I can make the first cut but can't make a second cut until I stop the audio from playing. This is strange but it's what's working for now
  7. Double click But I'm not trying to delete the section, I'm trying to cut new regions out of one big region
  8. Also to clarify - I can make a cut the very first time I try to split the region. After that, I can't make cuts anymore
  9. Yes, I do and the whole audio regions gets this weird inverted color for a second
  10. Hello I'm trying to use the Marquee tool to split and cut up a newly recorded audio track. It works sometimes and other times it just inverts the color of the audio region. Curious. I feel like, with 9 I was able to use this tool to cut up audio - am I missing something here. Help, please and thanks
  11. Nevermind...I found the external midi instrument
  12. I'm using a virus with LPX In order to access all 16 midi channels, I have to create a new external instrument. This doesn't seem right. Why can't I just create 1 external instrument and then subsequent midi tracks with respective channels? How are you guys connecting your external gear in LPX Thanks in advance
  13. I figured it out. When I use the bounce in place key command ^B, I get the option to use the selected track as a destination. When I use the bounce in place from the context menu, I'm forced to create a new track. I prefer not to create a new track. I knew there was a keyboard shortcut, it's been way too long. Thanks
  14. Thanks for the ultra fast reply. Unfortunately, neither reading the manual or following the region>merge>regions path does the trick. If the only way to create a one bar audio region from separate audio regions is by bouncing in place, then so be it. I attached a screen print to show what I'm trying to do. Im scratching my head because I feel like I used know how to do this...curious
  15. I'd like to merge separated audio regions into one without bouncing in place or creating a folder. In Live I select the time range I'd like to make into a new audio region and click command+J and my selected time range becomes a new audio clip (region) In Logic I'd like turn 4 seperated kick drums into a one bar audio region with a key command similar to the one I just described. How do you do this, or is this possible? I feel like I've done this before somehow but I forgot. I don't use Logic much.
