  1. I think I have found a solution - I am using the glue tool for the tracks that start before the first bar. Hopefully that will work (although it's a more time consuming process.). Still, if anyone has info about the Bounce and Replace Track feature, I'd be grateful.
  2. Hi there, folks. I'm in the process of converting a 96khz song to 48khz and am bouncing and replacing the audio tracks. When creating the song, at some point I had pulled open the time line and began the song before the first bar. Somehow when bouncing and replacing the tracks it only bounces audio files which have been placed AFTER the first bar, so I am missing several important elements at the start of the song. I know I could just copy everything and drag it to after that point, but I have quite a lot of automation written on busses and would be worried that I would not be able to find and move every bit of that with the tracks. Is there a way to bounce from before the first bar? I have the selection set up at the correct pinpoint. Many thanks for any help!
  3. Yes, I tried doing that, as well as updating my UAD software and firmware, which I discovered was out of date. It did not fix the issue. I'm now in the process of converting the project to 48khz but have discovered another problem.... I had pulled open the time line and began the song before the first bar. Somehow when bouncing and replacing the tracks it only bounces audio files which have been placed AFTER the first bar, so I am missing several important elements at the start of the song. I will write another post with this questions, but just in case somebody sees it here... is there a way to bounce from before the first bar? I have the selection set up at the correct pinpoint. Odd!
  4. Actually, it's not the piano. I just muted that instrument and the crackle remains. It's like the crackle builds more and more as the song plays, and it continues even when the song is stopped. Very weird. Hopefully bringing down the kHz setting will fix it. I'm using an Apollo x8 with a satellite and it's not really so many tracks, about 50ish. My CPU should certainly be able to handle this.
  5. The CPU meter stays between 50 - 90%m HD meter stays very low.
  6. Thank you, that's good advice. I did discover that my Vienna Synchron Boesendorfer piano is crackling quite a lot. Also, this is a song I started during a period that I was recording everything 96khz, which seemed to cause more trouble than it was worth in quality! I suppose I should make things a bit easier for Logic Pro X and my computer and convert this project to 48khz. Do you agree that could be part of the problem,?
  7. Howdy folks! I'm working on a song that has a solid number of instruments, sound recordings and plugins, and the first time I play the song it always sounds excellent. But by the third or fourth time I start to get this odd crackling (in left or right, never centered) which continues even after I have stopped the track from playing. Eventually it fades away, but we're talking MINUTES later. I have my buffer size set to the highest setting, and in fact, while hearing this crackly and looking at the CPU usage, it's not even half way up. Any ideas what this could be? I often like to create buildup of tape delay feedback on a bus and I wonder if that could be the issue?
  8. Boy do I feel stupid. I am doing some remote recording with an old RME Fireface and I have everything working, except that when I hit play or record the mic no longer feeds to the headphones. I see the levels being recording though. I have Software Monitoring turned on, and the little orange I button on the track I'm recording is enabled. What in the heck could I be doing wrong? A little panicked because my session starts in 2 hours! Any help will be much appreciated! - Fredo
  9. Howdy folks, I was working on a song for a very dear friend's funeral, which is in a few days. I unplugged an external drive which I wasn't doing anything with from the USB hub which is completely full and when I went back to Logic Pro, playing the song I couldn't hear anything. Other apps had music function, so I quite and restarted. Now Logic hangs indefinitely as it's trying to load UAD Capitol Chambers." Is there any way I can fix this? ARRRRG! Many thanks for any help! - Fredo
  10. Yes, that is turned on. And it’s so strange that I can’t find the pedal info as well.
  11. Howdy folks, I have recently updated to 10.4.8 and have been having lots of problems trying to edit the velocity of midi recordings I've made. When I open the Piano Roll window and click the notes, they will mostly not make any sound. A few times the very first time I clicked a note I heard it, and then adjusted the velocity, but do not hear anything as I make the adjustment, and, although the color of the note has been changed, the velocity has not been when played back. As well, I wanted to adjust some pedaling, and when I clicked into the Piano Roll window I no longer see the icon that would reveal the pedal information for editing. I believe I have all of the advanced settings turned on. What could I be doing wrong? Many thanks for your help! - Fredo
  12. Howdy folks, I'm setting up a Logic Song for 4-bar looping which I used to use quite a lot. It's been two versions of Logic Pro since I have set it up though and am not quite getting it to work. I wonder if some of you folks can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. So here's what I am intending to do: Setup one master Input track which will be fed by my Microphone. That track will have 5 sends. Each send will go to an Aux track that has Delay Designer with Infinite 4-bar looping Each of these Aux tracks will be sent to a separate Audio track, so each send can be recorded as a separate track with the Delay Designer loop effect. What I did: Set up the Main Audio track, calling it MAIN, and created 5 more Audio Tracks, calling each Loop1, Loop2, etc... On Main I created 5 sends. Opened each send and inserted the Delay Designer plugin set to 4-bar infinite loop Went to each additional Audio track and assigned the Input of each as the Aux associated by number. Here's the problem I encountered: As I am recording, I hear my voice through the Main, but I am not hearing it go through the Delay Designer plugin on the send. It only plays through that after I record a few bars and go back and play the recording. Another issue is that the additional track is also just getting the vocal without the effect. I am an Apollo 8x user and wonder if the setup of not hearing Logic effects is the problem. To be honest, I can't even remember where that setting is, but remember reading that it has to be set this way to work with the Apollo interface. Any help getting this to work would be very much appreciated! Thanks folks!
  13. No real-time bounce didn’t help.
  14. I think I generally found one of the problems... I’d imported a whole set of drum tracks and a bus from an earlier version of the same song. After making sure they came in correctly I then deleted the ones They were duplicating, but forgot to delete the bus they had been directed towards. I can’t really understand why this would make Logic malfunction in export but deleting that bus seems to have fixed the bounce problem. It still does get screwed up with automated data occasionally on playback though.
