Ive been using the liquid 56 for about 3 years now and definatly like it. The 2 liquid preamps even have made me decide to get the Liquid Mix 32 as well. Runs really smooth.

I want to move them to have a good overview so that all strips have the same order. But as far as i've unstand the answers it's not possible. Thanx

Yeah sure that's simple, but then you'll loose the setting. I want to keep the setting and change order. Also want to know if that's possible with inserts, change order of the inserts You change the order by re-assigning the bus. It's that simple.

I can't seem to figure out how to change the order of the aux sends on a channel strip. Let's say i have 8 aux sends on a channelstrip and the top one is bus 8 and bottom bus 3. Now i only want to move the top one to the bottom. Is that even possible. The manual doesn't mention anything about it.

Does there exist a controller that acts like a conventional desk ? So control for instance mutes, 6 auxes, pan, eq per channel without having to select a channel. What i'm looking for is basicly a controller with conventional desk channelstrips with at least 24 faderchannels, 1 assignable touchbutt and 12 rotary's per channel.

Yes indeed... work fine now... you see i only use the mac for Music production. So justy know the basic things. Used to run Logic 4.5 on PC (still have it). Switched to mac 2 years ago. But thanx all.

I just downloaded an update for Logic 9. I'm still on 9.0.0 as i didn't have internet connection in my studio for quite some time. Now i do have and was thinking to update to 9.4. So downloaded.. but now system says can't find eligible logic in app folder. That's true .. it's not in the app folder but on my desktop. How can i point the update to Logic on the desktop...

Other option is Focusrite saffire 40 or liquid 56. But if you don't need the mic pre's the 56 is a bit overkill. Ofcourse the 40 has mic pre's as well. But on the 56 there's 2 liquid preamps which i love. I'm using those more than the UA610.

If a mixer has inserts per channel you can use those as individual outputs. Or you can check out pro mixers with at least 12 subgroups which you can use for outputs. Some mixers have direct outs per channel. But if you to go for a cheap solution you can check the firewire mixers like Phonic helixboard. Those can send out individual tracks thru firewire. I used to own a 24 track 2inch otari machine. The bugger weights 120Kg, a tape on which you can record 20 minutes costs 180 euros. You get quite some hiss, especially when recording again and again on the same tracks.The tapes wear out after some time and you have to bake them. The heads and some mechanical parts needs loads of maintanance. I once had a fly flying into the machine... right between the rolling tape and tapehead... There was recorded a full band on it, all the material was gone including a tapehead. And as said before.. it takes ages to rewind. Why does anyone want tape ? Just for the saturation ? I don't think that's worth all the above trouble.

I'm using the saffire 56 and haven't noticed any problems with it, you just need to know how it works and maybe takes a bit of time to get your head round focusrites mixer part. But once set you just don't have to look at that anymore, I'm using it with an Imac as well. Very good sounding interface... imho better than the Motu's which i compared besides the focusrite. The liquids on the focusrite are very nice too. 96k is pure overkill and no audible difference compared to 48k. Setting up with Logic only took about 5 mins.
