Thank you, I couldn't think of anything better. So this is what I proposed to my friend: He should just load the projects made from Logic 9 with Logic 9 on Mavericks. Going forward, to use Logic Pro X with 32 lives. The issue sometimes is this: I have installed Logic X onto my other friend's machine but that rendered Logic 9 unusable. What happens when launching Logic 9, a large menu window comes up talking about the new Logic Pro X, and when you hit the close button, Logic 9 never opens. Does anyone know why that happens?

Hello all! I am conflicted. I have upgraded my friend's Mac Pro to run Mavericks. He was used to using Logic Pro 9 on 10.6.8. Now, he is running 10.9 Mavericks and Logic Pro X. In order to use 32 bit plugins in the 64 bit host Logic X, we used 32 Lives. For the most part it is working. But when opening projects made with Logic Pro 9, the 32 bit plugins won't be read by Logic X. How can we get his sessions to load all 32-bit versions of plugins in Logic X? I understand that 32 Lives creates the wrapped 64 bit version with x64 added to the file name. Is it possible to just rename this x64 file to plugin.component so that the plugin and its settings will load in LPX? any suggestion is helpful, thanks!

this only happens when my numark ns6 device is used as the sound card. how do i remedy the situation? every track that i use, it seems to go down halfway.

I have a question. By using more regions, will it use up more CPU power? The reason i'm asking is because i have one region for every kick in a dance song that is 4x4 floor. and plus a sidechain ghost track. I dont want to consolidate it either. or is it better to save resources? thanks!

what if you... just reference? import a well mixed score and play it in your project so you can hear how far you can go. on that reference score, add a plugin called "paz frequency" by waves if you have that. the plugin will tell you the levels of the freq spectrum and try to match theirs with yours. hope this helps

jtees, i can bypass it but it wouldn't sound better. its just used to beef up my kicks. david, it is set as -3db compensated jtees, the reason it's at -6.2 is because it hits the red when if it was at unity. so because of that, i have conducted a 'test'. i sent the 3 kicks output to the bus and the result is 1db over. next, i sent the 3 kicks to stereo output. result is 1db over, with no difference in volume or loudness. thank you for everyone's input, i guess it was just my mix. i just really hate seeing my bus hitting red so i turn the bus volume down. i need to learn to mix with my ears not with my eyes. for the sake of this session i'll just put all outputs to the stereo output and try again next project. anyway for now, here is a remix i did of dev's in the dark (club mix) using Logic enjoy! http://soundcloud.com/babyboi/dev-in-the-dark-dj-babyboi pan law

attached are the screen shots. but basically, i have 3 of my kicks sent over to bus 41 through the I/O. when i do this, the bus 41 is weak. when i have the 3 kicks sent over to stereo output instead it sounds 'normal' should i just send them through a send instead? (the Bus 8 send is just for sidechain purposes)

Hello all, I have been experiencing something that makes my mix sound weak. I layer 3 separate kicks and send its output to a group bus. But I notice when I do that it sounds weak or overcompressed. Then when I put the 3 kicks to separate output they sound much stronger again. Is this normal?

creationcollection, i have made sure the automation was cleared, also set it to a direct 0, and i think thats the only way it will stick. i'll look into the inadvertent node. mpmusicny, can do you have a link or can u describe the pan law setting? i appreciate your responses
