  1. Maybe: You have distortion going out of a plugin into the next one. For example: The output of a compressor is clipping and going into the eq. Then you pull down the gain a bit in the eq so the channel strip itself is not clipping. You have to make sure there is no clipping going out of your plugins into the next. Each and every one has to be checked.
  2. Best way to collaborate: determine who is the 'mixer'. All other parties receive 1 .wav file of the mix down. Import to session and add your parts. Send back your parts as .wav files to 'mixer' 'Mixer' imports and mixes. No various Logic versions or any kind of DAW involved. Any other way, and you are just complicating things.
  3. Does the mic need phantom power? Switch it to 'on' on the 2i2. Also adjust the gain knob on the interface?
  4. You got it all wrong. The reason it takes a while to freeze/bounce them is that you have a long reverb tail or other plugin that produces a long tail. Logic is a big empty canvas. You are telling Logic how much you are using of that canvas by setting a cycle range at the top. The rest is just a little bit of OCD. No harm intended, just the truth. You are worrying about something that is not important at all. If you don't want that tail to be included in the bounce, just untick the option in the bounce dialogue. Cheers.
  5. I don't need a lot pf inputs. I use a Focusrite 2i2. Their products are rock solid so far for me.
  6. A quick google search shows other people having the same problem with this interface.
  7. What happens when it disconnects? What does Logic say? Have you tried a different brand of interface yet from a friend maybe?
  8. Yeah, just watched your video. Everything is fine don't pay too much attention to the tracks area. The piano roll and what you hear is important. Des99 nailed it.
  9. I find that the tracks area is not representing the piano roll perfectly all the time. There are some missing notes visually etc. If everything is ok in the piano roll and everything sounds fine, don't worry about it. Might be just a slight OCD thingy on your part? (People worry too much about little things that are not important at all sometimes). Cheers.
  10. One way to do it is to sing the part and use Flex Pitch. There are other tools as well in Logic. You need some music theory though. It's not as easy as dragging everything up. Some notes might be out of scale.
  11. I am sure you will be pleased with the new Air. I've read your concerns about the M3 processors in the other thread but I think logic will get updated and honestly my M1 air is still so good I don't even look at the CPU performance anymore. It's just that good. It gets everything done. In the past i had to constantly monitor the CPU performance. I can pretty much remove that part from the display the top in Logic now. These Airs are 10 fold better than a Mac Pro was just 8-10 years ago and people got professional work done with those.
  12. This is a possibility: if you click on a track header, by default it highlights the regions on it. If you accidentally (or on purpose for something else) press the delete key it deletes the regions. You could have done this by looking at a different part of the arrangement, scrolling around. David said this many times here: click on the empty background in the arrange area before highlighting regions to delete. (This deselects every region) Other ones might have been selected (out of view) and you delete all selected ones. I think there is a setting where you can specify to select or not select regions on the track when clicking on a track header. Most of these problems are unfortunately user error. It could be the case here too.
  13. This helped a lot for troubleshooting. So it is not Logic. The solution lies within the interface OR your headphones. I don't know the interface(seen it on the internet) but is there a MUTE switch on there? Can you test your headphones on another device to rule out a problem with the headphones? Have you tried to restart your Mac? When everything connected, can you hear the audio from a YouTube video?
  14. The brand name is : HELIX. I can't find the exact model on the net. It is 3 years old now. It has 4 USB A ports and 1 USB C port.
  15. All of the M series Macs are insanely powerful. The problems people experience are almost always because of incompatible 3rd party plugins, bad drivers for interfaces, shady hubs, wrongly formatted SSD's connected, people trying to save projects to the cloud and other unrealistic crazy stuff. To troubleshoot: start up Logic without any plugins (google it) and disconnect all peripherals. Try connecting suff. See if it's ok. If all good, try to disable plugins. Try disabling first half then the second half of them. Narrow it down. Plenty of info on these here in the forum. Do a search. Good luck!
