  1. Thanks man. I'm looking at Logic right now and I put the Tape Delay into my master drums track, and it won't let me set the delay time to 0.0ms. What do I do? I don't know if I'm just messing some little thing up, but what is going on? How do I set it to 0.0ms? EDIT: Nevermind! DIdn't realize the SYNC button had to be turned off.
  2. Hey guys, I just tried out the demo for AirWIndows' AU plugin called IronOxide and I loved it. It is a analog simulator and a distortion plugin mixed together, but contains a unique effect that I just can't seem to recreate. Money is a little short right now and so I was wondering how I would duplicate the effect with normal plugins. If you guys could help out, I would be really grateful. I'm fine with using several AU plugins to achieve the effect. Thanks, Garrett
  3. This is probably a real easy thing to do, but how do you create the effect that you hear in hip hop songs where the bass will drop out, almost like it just drops pitch and drops volume? I have tried automation, but I can't replicate the sound that is used in many songs. Help me please?
  4. Hey everyone, I'm in the middle of producing a rap instrumental, and I have a huge idea for the song, but I'm not exactly sure how to make the sound I need. Basically, I need an instrument to sound like it might if you were intoxicated. What I mean is that it drops pitch after being played, and reverbs real hard. I know how to implement the reverb, but how do I do the pitch drop. I do not want to use the "Glide" function in the EXS24, and I do not want to automate the track to drop pitch? Can someone please help me with this? Also, I want to know, is there a way to "reverse" a software instrument without recording the audio and then reversing it? If so, how would I do this on the EXS24 and the ES2? Thanks, GCProductions
  5. Wait, so let me try and understand this... The samples only play when the "One Shot" box is checked?
  6. It's overall pretty good. I only think that it needs to be mixed a little more in such that it sounds fatter. I know this is a pretty vague term but I assume you understand what I mean. It sounds like everything is really "thin". Overall though it's a good remake of it.
  7. I know about the dynamics, but I have fixed that somewhat, I just need to reprogram the compressor that is on my Output track.
  8. I really thought that the beat has potential. I really liked 1:02 - 1:59 as well, that's where the beat really "clicks". The vocoded singing was the perfect part to put in there, it fits great. I do think the drums need to be jazzed-up a little bit, as previously mentioned. Either that or you need to re-do the synth to where it matches the drums better. Also, the beginning and ending are a little strange, but I would just fix them up a little... I think a serious artist could do something with them. Overall, it was great, and I enjoyed listening to it. -GC
  9. Hey guys, I just uploaded my new instrumental. It's a real dark/anthem style hip hop instrumental. I know not a lot of people here are into hip-hop, but any comment would be awesome! Thanks, Garrett
  10. Thanks for the feedback. I think Busta Rhymes would be good on this track too. I completely understand what you're saying about a more powerful kick. I'll try and fix that up too.
  11. Thanks! There isn't a bass at all. I purposely did that, but now that you guys point it out, I'll go into the project and add one in. Thanks for all of the positive feedback.
  12. Hey everyone, It's been awhile since I have released a new instrumental. I just finished one and have put it onto SoundCloud. I really worked hard on mixing and making sure that the sounds were blended together well. I hope you guys will give your thoughts and what I can improve on. PS: I know there aren't a lot of hip hop people here, but any comment would be great. I hope you guys will listen to it anyways.
  13. I'm not sure, but I wouldn't take the sample packs. If you think something is wrong, chances are that it probably is.
  14. I completely hated your comment about how they are the Rebecca Black of the hardcore metal world. I really like Rebecca Black (that's a joke). In all honesty, the band does suck in my opinion.
  15. They do have a plug-on cable. I've taken it out and reattached it multiple times, but to no change in the current state of the headphones. I'm going to see if the wiring looks bad at all, and maybe try and fix that up.
