  1. Hey guys, I'm currently thinking of switching my current guitar rig to a laptop based one. I'm going to get my guitar hooked up to an audio interface then to mainstage midi controlled by the Behringer FCB1010. The problem is, of course, getting an audio/MIDI interface rugged enough to withstand a stage-practical set. Right now, I have a simple PreSonus Audiobox USB but I doubt it'll last even the slightest ding. My local music gadget store recommended I use the GIO by Apogee that's marketed as a Mainstage product. I think it's a little price-y and I don't really want to be confined by the limited assignable selectors. (Also, I feel it's quite a gimmick and the FCB1010 blows it out of the water in terms of customisability) Any input will be received with great appreciation. Thanks in advance.
  2. Hey man, I'm thinking of getting a Behringer FCB1010 to control my Mainstage 2 as well, but from various forum posts and stuff I'm getting the feeling that this MIDI controller is a little bit tricky to program it to work like an actual multieffects processor. I, myself, am pretty much a noob when it comes to MIDI. So do you think you could list the step by step on how to get it to work nicely with mainstage? Right now, I haven't got the product yet but I'm looking to get it working as fast as possible. Thanks in advance.
  3. Hey Thanks for the reply earlier. I can see that it's possible to slow down the global tempo relative to the pitch changed. However, what if I wish to change the pitch but keep the tempo constant? Also, is it possible to translate the changes into flex time mode in order to change the tempo of tracks destructively?
  4. Haha, thanks for providing me with the name of the tool. Just did a quick google and I realised that the tool isn't available by default on the toolbar so I didn't know it was in Logic. Thanks so much.
  5. Hey guys, I'm sort of new to this forum but have been lurking around for quite some time now. Simply was not able to find an answer to this question which has been bugging me this whole time. But if you guys have seen a similar post, please don't hesitate to dump a link to the appropriate topic. Anyway, I normally record rock-based songs and I was wondering whether there was a global tempo changer in Logic similar to Ableton Live. In the following scenario, f I wished to record an intricate guitar solo in a project that already has my drums, rhythm guitar and bass guitar tracked and was not able to play it at the speed my song was currently at, would I be able to slow every audio track down (non-midi) non-destructively, record my guitar solo, then bump the tempo back up to normal, leaving the pitch of the guitar solo part intact? I tried this out a few times, enabling flex time and stuff, and it ended up with some pretty screwy results. Is there a quick and easy way to do this? Thanks in advance.
