  1. This is the first time I've tried recording multi-track audio in Logic since I upgraded to Logic X. I almost never do this, but today I want the guitar direct and amp'ed at the same time. Please refer to my settings... As you can see I have cycle turned on. I'm expecting take folders to appear, but instead Logic overwrites the track audio with each loop. I can see the regions appearing in the file browser, but that's not what I'm seeking. How do I get Logic to create take folders for a multitrack recording? I don't have this problem when I'm recording a single track. Thank you!
  2. I found the problem. Waves TG Mastering Chain. I had it on the mix bus. Even though it is currently disabled, it's causing the latency. If I remove it, the latency disappears.
  3. I am having the issue that Davelake described. I appreciate reading the suggested answer, and I can verify that starting a new session clears latency. But how do I fix this? I tried disabling all plugins, and the problem remains. I closed the session and reopened it, and Logic still spends a while "Loading Plugins..." even though they are turned off. I disabled all virtual instruments too. Something about this session is causing a latency problem, and it's apparently not a plugin or a VI. I don't want to remove the plugins. Also, using "low latency" mode gets rid of the latency for VIs, but it doesn't correct the MIDI delay issue reported above.
  4. I use a Logictech scroll wheel mouse with my Mac because I prefer the interface. Apple just doesn't support it as well as they do their own brand. But turning off the hide scrollbars feature works great for me.
  5. Thank you! That was what I needed.
  6. I found the answer. Under Logic > Preferences > General > Editing... there's a checkbox that needs to be unchecked if you want to see the Quickswipe button. Otherwise, you get zones instead.
  7. This is happening to me right now. Wow Logic Pro X is super buggy, and I waited years to upgrade to it. Unbelievable. I don't see a solution posted here. Any further thoughts? I've tried the above.
  8. Am I crazy or did the scrollbars disappear in the region edit and mix windows? I only see scrollbars if I grab a hold of the divider and move it, but they disappear as soon as I let it go.
  9. Oh! I was wondering why I didn't see backup files. A change from Logic 9. Thanks again!
  10. Thank you! That is much better news than the file being corrupted. Any idea why the file size changes so much when I "Save As..." to make a copy?
  11. I fixed it by creating a new file and tediously importing the content of the corrupted project, one track at a time, and then the plugins, etc.
  12. Here is a project file that is stripped down to the bare essentials to show you what's going on. Try to open the MIDI editor window for the "Violas" track. On my machine it opens the "Celli" track every time. test-corrupted.logicx.zip
  13. I used "Save As..." when facing the same issue. I noticed that the copy I saved is 5.9 MB, whereas the problem file is 58.2 MB. Looks like it's been corrupted. However, the smaller copy is not fixed. I really don't want to rebuild this project... agh...
  14. The same issue (I think) is posted in another thread: /viewtopic.php?f=1&t=146589&p=764752&hilit=stuck+MIDI+editor#p764752.
