Hi everyone, first time I'll be switching from an old Imac to a new one, I have backed up the old Imac onto and external drive, when I restore the external drive to my new Imac, will Logic operate normally or do i need to unauthorized it from the old imac first? and then authorize it in the new one?...I have so many questions, first time switching to a new Mac... any help or tip is appreciated, thanks!

hi Eric, I'm using the system drive ..

having problems with my mid-2010 iMac and Logic these days, keep getting "Disk is too slow" messages in some projects way too often....do I need more RAM? (only got 8 installed) or a new hard drive? using El Capitan and Logic pro 10.2 did not had this problem before I installed El Capitan....

I have a simple question, why are the outputs on my Ultrabeat in Multi mode showing a SUBGROUP instead of just a regular output?....in every project I open (new or old) is showing up like that instead of normal...it is showing like in the attached picture...why is that?...this makes Multi mode not to work as the different drum parts are not getting any sound from their assigned outputs....I already did Default resets to Ultrabeat to no avail....it is very frustrating......it should show me the regular outputs like 3-4 5-6 and such, and not like in the attached picture....

David I have a question, the length of the cuts in the region is not determined by the snap value or the grid ? I just want to make sure....I'm a newbie..

oh well, I found a work around kind of, export the region to audio file and bring it back into the project.....but it is a shame that these Drum Machine Drummer tracks cannot be bounced in place....too bad...!

correction, my mistake, I'm able to access the Bounce in place option when I use soft synths both apple and other party, but the option is not available when I try to use the Drum patches.....Drum mAchine patches <<<<< I recorded a simple 4/4 kick and tried to covert it to audio by bounce in place, but the option is greyed out....not available....is this by default or is it something I have to change in my setup? thanks

hi everyone, I recorded a midi region, with notes in there....I right click the region to bounce it to audio but the bounce in place option is not available (greyed out) why is that?...it is happening in all the midi tracks for me...is there something I had to enable somewhere to make this option available?....thanks in advance....yes I'm a newbie....

Hi everyone, it took me like six months to learn how to side chain in Logic Pro 9, now I'm in logic Pro X and I'm having a hell of a time applying side chaining, I think my problem lies in how to setup the NEW COMPRESSOR for side chaining, is there a video link to how to do it?...I'm still a newbie in this, I think I got everything else right....one track with a kick drum on it, create a send for that track, set the send level knob to 0, then go to the track I want to apply the side chain to and setup a compressor there, the problem is..I don't know what to do with the new compressor, I only get to the part where I set the side chain bus to the Bus I assigned it to originally..but nothing happens.....no effect....it is horrible to be a newbie in this...any help would be appreciated , thanks.... : )

Thanks Erik, I will consider the first 2 suggestions, it is strange though that up to a week ago this problem did not exist...now it happens in more than one project....!
