When I record an audio file in Live Loops such as guitar or bass with the cell and loop length at 4 I get a click/pop between the end and beginning of the loop. I can get around this by recording longer into the cell at 6 and looping it at 4 but is there a way to avoid the pops when loop recording? Thanks

anyone a Smart Tempo or Live Loops fan? thanks

I have been through a few tutorials but lemme ask this. Can Smart Tempo correct an audio recording (guitar for instance) to the project tempo as it is being recorded? I know in adapt mode it will map the tempo I am playing but I would like to have a track in tempo without beat mapping after recorded. Also can Smart Tempo be used with Live Loops? thanks as aways!

I see that I can merge layers of software instruments in a single cell by choosing from the dropdown menu: Recording > Mode > Merge. Cool. But this feature is not available for audio recording in a cell. Is there any way to make this happen? I would love to overlay guitar parts in the same cell. It only allows multiple takes which can be unpacked but you can't monitor your first take when recording the new one. Thanks everyone !

My friend has an HP laptop running Windows 10. I would like to have him add guitar to projects recorded in Logic. Is there a free Windows DAW capable of doing this? Audacity maybe? Thanks

Sorry I am still on Logic Pro 9 and trying to get my files in order so I can move to Logic X easily. I made the mistake a while ago of recording multiple songs in to one single folder. I can open a song and have the correct files but the Audio file folder is crammed with all the track files for every song in the same folder. How do I move the necessary files for a song to its own folder? Can I open a song and save it as something that will include the files involved? And if this is possible am I able to delete the folder with multiple audio files after I have isolated my songs in their own folders? Thanks

For playback and mixing, what is the general consensus regarding buffer size? Even with a powerful mac, I seem to get clicks sometimes, but 1024 usually takes care of that. Maybe other settings are affecting my recording? I know I just answered my own question, but would like to hear other opinions. Are there any drawbacks to using a larger buffer, etc?
